Also added to the Memorial Day weekend event is a featherweight bout between Dennis ‘The Menace’ Bermudez (10-3) and Max ‘Blessed’ Holloway (7-1).

Officials announced the bout at UFC.com on Wednesday.

Two rising featherweight prospects collide at UFC 160 on May 25th, as Dennis Bermudez goes against Max Holloway. Bermudez is coming off his third straight win, a Fight of the Year candidate against Matt Grice at UFC 157. The sharpshooting striker Holloway will be looking for a fourth straight victory in the division.

UFC 160: Velasquez vs. Bigfoot 2 is expected to take place on May 25, 2013 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event will see former heavyweight opponents, UFC champ Cain Velasquez and Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva, square off in a title match.

The bout between Bermudez vs. Holloway is certain to appear on the prelim card, but whether it’s on FX television or on Facebook has yet to be determined.

Bermudez is on a three fight win streak, bouncing back after losing the TUF 14 Finale back in December 2011. Since then ‘The Menace’ has gone on to defeat Pablo Garza at UFC on FOX 3, Tommy Hayden at UFC 150, and most recently Matt Grice at UFC 157. The Grice bout earned both men “Fight of the Night” while the Hayden victory earned Bermudez the “Submission of the Night” bonus.

Holloway is on a similar run with three straight wins after losing his Octagon debut. He was in action this past December at UFC 155, winning a split decision against Leonard Garcia. Prior to that he finished Justin Lawrence by second round TKO at UFC 150 and won a decision against Pat Schilling at the TUF 15 Finale.
