Middleweight Champion Gegard Mousasi (48-7-2 MMA) is set to defend his belt against an undefeated Austin Vanderford (11-0 MMA) tomorrow night at Bellator 275 in Dublin, Ireland.

During the build-up to ‘The Dreamcatcher’s’ second title defence, despite the frequently similar ask about his upcoming bout, Mousasi was asked on YouTube with Karyn Bryant about his thoughts about the latest Netflix hit, ‘The Tinder Swindler’.

“He scams a lot of women… but girls do that to guys all the time.” Gegard Mousasi stated, “They don’t go and make a documentary about that but when a guy does that it’s all over and they give him a whole documentary.”

“How many gold-diggers marry older men, like he was 60 and they’re 30 years, and then they divorce and get all the money of the guy, that’s also a sham!”

The Netflix series debuted on the 2nd of February and now has spent three straight weeks in the company’s global top 10 of most-watched movies, it seems to be no surprise as to why the show has caught the attention of Mousasi.

Does Gegard Mousasi believe he can successfully defend his belt at Bellator 272

As Mousasi looks to do something he has never done before and defend his belt two consecutive times in a row. However, the wily veteran seems to be the calm before the storm and is even looking at defending his belt even a few more times within the year.

“I fought 2 times last 2 years,” Mousasi said. “It looks like I’m gonna fight soon again and then the end of the year maybe. So, three to five times maybe this year.”

“I haven’t missed a beat, I’m still fast. I’m still strong, I feel better than ever.”

With Mousasi’s upcoming bout bringing his pro total to 58 fights, he looks to show he is still at the top of his game and extend his Bellator run to 8-1.

Will Gegard Mousasi continue his Bellator Middleweight title reign?

Israel Adesanya wants to compete in WWE before he retires from MMA.

Israel Adesanya isn’t giving up on his dream of one day flying from the rope in the WWE, revealing to talkSPORT his intention of competing in the world of professional wrestling before he calls it quits on his UFC career.

“I looked up to those guys as a kid. I used to jump off the couch armrest and backflip onto David [his camera guy],” Adesanya, the reigning UFC middleweight champion, said.

“I broke my arm a couple of times. We was taking bumps back in the day [laughs]. But definitely I will do that before I’m done.

“You might just see me sneak up from under the ring one day like ‘what the f***!’ That’s not Hornswoggle!’

‘The Last Stylebender’ is also a huge fan of The Rock and admits to being starstruck by the WWE superstar when he first met him.

“The Rock, that will take a few meetings to go away. I still get starstruck by him, but I’m cool. I’m not going to like jump him or anything,” Adesanya said.

“Even with Joe Rogan, when I first met Joe I was starstruck. It probably took two or three interactions until you humanise them to you.

“But The Rock will take a while to go away because it’s still The Rock!”

Adesanya was last seen in action this past month at UFC 271 where he defeated Robert Whittaker to retain his middleweight title. He won the fight via unanimous decision and moved up to #2 in the UFC men’s pound-for-pound rankings.

Tyron Woodley is interested in boxing Tommy Fury next time out.

Woodley stepped up on short notice to rematch Jake Paul when Fury pulled out. After he was knocked out, Paul said that Woodley should box Fury. Since then, there has been no talk, but just recently, Paul’s promotion posted on social media asking if fans would want to see the fight.

On his Instagram Stories, Woodley wrote “I’m with it,” in response to the idea of a bout against Fury.

Although Jake Paul wants to see Tyron Woodley vs. Tommy Fury, the Brit has made it clear he wants the Paul fight rebooked.

“I’d look to see the [Paul] fight happen by the back end of the year. I’m not really waiting around for it, he knows I’m ready to fight at all times,” Fury told Sky Sports. “I’ve put that out there countless times, I’m not the issue here. If the man wanted to fight we’d have a rescheduled date by now. The ball’s in his court, I’m ready to fight whenever. I would like to see it happen at the end of the year, I know Frank [Warren] is still trying to reach out to him and stuff like that.”

“I sort of want him to fight Tyron Woodley and see what happens there. Because I think Tyron would knock Tommy out, so, I almost want to have them fight. Then, maybe we could run it back after that,” Paul later added on The MMA Hour.

Tyron Woodley is 0-2 in boxing as he suffered the KO loss to Paul in December and dropped a split decision to Paul in August. Prior to that, he was on a four-fight losing streak in the UFC after losing his belt.

Tommy Fury, meanwhile, is 7-0 as a pro boxer and coming off a decision win over Bellator veteran Anthony Taylor last time out. He hasn’t fought anyone of note in his career.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) recently unveiled the official event poster for the upcoming UFC Vegas 50 fight card, which is set to go down on Sat., March 12, 2022 from inside the promotion’s APEX facility in Las Vegas, Nevada, featuring a light heavyweight headliner between Thiago Santos and Magomed Ankalaev.

Santos (22-9) gave former division champion Jon Jones a run for his money at UFC 239 back in summer 2019; however, the Brazilian suffered a pair of knee injuries during the bout and has struggled to maintain his winning ways. “Marreta” is coming off a victory over the free-falling Johnny Walker at UFC Vegas 38 but is just 1-3 over the last three years.

As for Ankalaev (15-1), his Octagon debut was spoiled by Paul Craig back in March 2018, but the former WFCA light heavyweight champion quickly bounced back to capture seven straight wins, four of which ended by knockout. His most recent performance was enough to vault Ankalaev to No. 6 in the official rankings, just one spot behind the hard-hitting Santos.

UFC Vegas 50 will also feature the bantamweight showdown between Marlon Moraes and Song Yadong. Elsewhere on the card, Alex Pereira continues his middleweight ascension against the rough-and-tumble stylings of Bruno Silva.

Robert Whittaker wants to be remembered as the greatest UFC middleweight of all time.

Robert Whittaker believes he is destined to beat Israel Adesanya and etch his name into the history books as the greatest UFC middleweight champion of all time.

That’s a tall order, considering Whittaker is 0-2 against Adesanya, but ‘The Reaper’ has an unshakeable conviction that he is the best middleweight in the world and will one day reclaim what he feels is rightfully his: the UFC middleweight championship.

“It’s inevitable for another fight down the line,” Whittaker told Submission Radio following his decision defeat to Adesanya at UFC 271. “There’s definitely going to be another fight down the line.”

“I’m the best middleweight in the world,” he later added. “Trust me. That’s my biggest takeaway. I have no ceiling right now, and I’m enjoying the process. And every fight you see a new developed and evolved version of myself. And honestly, there’s no ceiling. I’m gonna be the best ever, and it’s just a matter of time.”

Whittaker certainly put up a much better fight against Adesanya in the rematch, but it wasn’t enough to secure a victory. He lost the bout via unanimous decision.

The Aussie is targeting a ‘July, August’ return against No. 3-ranked middleweight Marvin Vettori whom he believes presents the toughest test in the division after Adesanya.

“I don’t know how many people are left. Probably Vettori? Yeah, he would have to be the highest ranked next up, I believe. I’m looking forward to [fighting again soon]. I’m going to enjoy my little break now and then get back in the gym, probably look for like a July, August sort of return.”
