Matt Frevola scored the biggest win of his UFC career earlier tonight (Sat., Jan. 22, 2022) at UFC 270 live on ESPN+ PPV from inside Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., when the lightweight fighter stopped Octagon newcomer Genaro Valdez with a wild first-round TKO (punches).

Both men came out firing like the fight was only booked for five minutes. They each landed, but Frevola had the clear power advantage. During two minutes of absolute chaos Frevola scored five massive knockdowns. Valdez proved to be tough as nails and kept returning to his feet to swing on “Steamrolla,” but Frevola kept his composure and eventually finished the fight with a TKO from back control.

Matt Frevola scored the biggest win of his UFC career earlier tonight (Sat., Jan. 22, 2022) at UFC 270 live on ESPN+ PPV from inside Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., when the lightweight fighter stopped Octagon newcomer Genaro Valdez with a wild first-round TKO (punches).

Both men came out firing like the fight was only booked for five minutes. They each landed, but Frevola had the clear power advantage. The main event of the evening will feature a grudge match between current UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou and interim titleholder Ciryl Gane. In co-main event action, Brandon Morena meets Deiveson Figueiredo for a third time with his UFC flyweight strap on the line.

Before the headlining acts play out live on PPV a collection of UFC 270 matchups are scheduled to set the Octagon ablaze. From the return of welterweight striker Michel Pereira to Said Nurmagomedov’s clash with bantamweight contender Cody Stamann, the action should deliver from the opening bell.

Vanessa Demopoulos scored her first Octagon win and one incredible comeback finish earlier tonight (Sat., Jan. 22, 2022) at UFC 270 live on ESPN+ PPV from inside Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., when the women’s strawweight prospect stopped Silvana Gomez Juarez via first-round submission (armbar).

Gomez Juarez possessed the larger frame and reach and she used it early to land some solid leg kicks and long strikes from distance. Out of nowhere she launched a brutal right hand that smashed into Demopoulos’ face and knocked her down to the canvas in a heap. Gomez Juarez rushed in and landed some serious ground-and-pound to nearly end the fight, but she left her arm in danger and Demopoulos took full advantage to find the comeback submission finish.
