Fight fans will get another dose of Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley later tonight (Sat., Dec. 18, 2021) live on Showtime PPV and FITE.tv from inside Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, as “Problem Child” welcomes the former UFC welterweight champion back to the boxing ring for a short-notice rematch.

While Paul was originally expected to fight Tommy Fury in the main event it will now be “Chosen One.” Woodley was only given about two weeks to prepare for this fight, but the UFC veteran wasn’t going to pass up the chance to punch Paul in the face again. Remember, the two fighters met back in August in a lucrative PPV clash, which saw Paul edge out Woodley via split decision.

Luckily, fight fans will get more from this Paul vs. Woodley rivalry later tonight on PPV. Paul is offering a $500K knockout bonus this time around so there’s a really good chance we see the Woodley that we’ve wanted for years. If the former UFC champ does come to fight it could be a very long night for Paul.

It’s an exciting matchup to say the least and one that will attract a ton of eyes once again. But when exactly can we expect Paul vs. Woodley 2 to start?

Thanks to a fully-loaded PPV card featuring the return of women’s great Amanda Serrano and a Deron Williams vs. Frank Gore matchup, Paul vs. Woodley 2 is expected to begin sometime around 12:00 a.m. ET (Sunday). If things run late (or early) Mania will be sure to provide an updated start time for tonight’s Paul vs. Woodley 2 main event. Stay tuned!

MMAmania.com will deliver LIVE coverage of tonight’s PPV main card HERE. The $59.99 Showtime PPV (also available on FITE.tv outside North America) kicks off at 9 p.m. ET (watch it here), with Paul and Woodley likely to make the walk closer to midnight. Bet on Paul-Woodley 2 at DraftKings Sportsbook.

Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley will collide inside of the boxing ring once again this evening (Sat., Dec. 18, 2021) live on Showtime PPV and FITE.tv from inside Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.

Woodley, who lost to Paul via split decision back in August, is filling in on short notice for an injured Tommy Fury. For Paul, this is another opportunity for him to prove he’s getting better as a boxer and able to compete alongside professional fighters. Tyron Woodley is ready to prove he’s a better boxer than Jake Paul when the two meet in a highly-anticipated main event rematch later tonight (Sat., Dec. 18, 2021) live on Showtime PPV and FITE.tv from inside Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.

As expected, there’s been no shortage of trash talk between the two fighters leading up to the rematch. Woodley may be filling in on short notice for the injured Tommy Fury, but he just fought Paul to a decision back in August (highlights HERE). There’s a sense of familiarity between the two men and it seems to be fueling another bad blood matchup this weekend on PPV.

During Friday’s ceremonial weigh ins, “Chosen One” and “Problem Child” had one final moment to unleash verbal warfare when they came face-to-face. After exchanging some last-second trash talk Woodley spoke with Ariel Helwani to explain what was said in the heated moment.

“Tomorrow won’t be a short night,” Woodley explained. “It’s gonna be a long night, but nobody gonna second guess you after tomorrow night. Thank you for bringing the dog out of me. Tomorrow we battle. Eat well, rest well, it’s gonna be a f*cking fight tomorrow night.”

We’ve been down this road before with Woodley. The former UFC welterweight champion has promised to be more offensive and aggressively charged for his fights only to fizzle out in the moment. Woodley will have a shot at an extra $500K with a knockout victory this time around, but we’ll have to wait and see if the veteran fighter really lets go.

Paul, who defeated Woodley by split decision in their first meeting, is entering the rematch with supreme confidence. The social media star believes he’s getting better everyday in the gym and had no problem letting Woodley know during their staredown.

“I said, ‘It’s f*cking go mode.’” Paul said. “A different Jake Paul you’re going to see this time, we’re f*cking bucking in the middle of the ring. No funny sh*t. No funny sh*t like last time. I’m f*cking him up. I’m f*cking him up! I’m f*cking him up, Ariel! I’m f*cking him up!”

As of now, Paul is a 2-1 favorite to defeat Woodley on Saturday night and keep his undefeated boxing record in tact. However, if Woodley finally starts unleashing his offensive power and swings for the fences it could finally spell the end for the Jake Paul experiment.

MMAmania.com will deliver LIVE coverage of tonight’s PPV main card. The $59.99 Showtime PPV (also available on FITE.tv outside North America) kicks off at 9 p.m. ET (watch it here), with Paul and Woodley likely to make the walk closer to midnight.

Charles Oliveira proved his championship worth last night (Sat., Dec. 11, 2021) at UFC 269 live on ESPN+ PPV from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, when “Do Bronx” choked out Dustin Poirier to retain his UFC lightweight title (watch HERE).

Also, Julianna Pena pulled off the greatest upset possibly ever with a second-round submission over Amanda Nunes to claim the UFC women’s bantamweight title (highlights HERE). Pena was a +800 underdog entering the fight and delivered vicious strikes before making “Lioness” tap.

In addition to the two title fights, UFC 269 produced a plethora of highlight-reel finishes, Fight of the Night candidates, and one-sided beatdowns. Check them out below:

  • Gillian Robertson banked another Octagon submission when she finished Priscila Cachoeira via first-round rear-naked choke (see it HERE)
  • Bantamweight prospect Tony Kelley scored the biggest win of his MMA career with a second-round TKO finish over Randy Costa
  • Andre Muniz pulled off another impressive submission finish when he stopped middleweight veteran Eryk Anders via first-round armbar (highlights HERE)
  • Former UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz won his second straight fight in a wild brawl with perennial contender Pedro Munoz, with “Dominator” winning by unanimous decision
  • Heavyweight contender Tai Tuivasa captured his fourth-straight knockout finish with a sensational second-round stoppage over Augusto Sakai (see it HERE)
