Fight fans received a pre-Thanksgiving treat earlier this week when Jake Paul and Tommy Fury stepped on stage for a remote press conference. The two fighters will collide in a boxing match next month live on Showtime pay-per-view (PPV).

Unfortunately for all parties involved, this was no ordinary press conference. Fury was joined by big brother, Tyson Fury, and his father, John Fury. All three men eventually locked horns with Paul in some sort of verbal warfare and the insults, obscenities, and crude language started to fly. It wasn’t pretty, but you can check out the full press conference replay HERE.

There was one moment in particular that crossed the line more than any other. It came at the hands of John Fury as the elder Englishman willingly exchanged trash talk with a heated Paul. Fury held little back in his verbal attacks and ended up making some pretty harsh comments about what’s going to happen to Paul’s girlfriend after the fight. The moment can be seen below:

Unfortunately, there were more incidents like this one that completely derailed the pre-fight press conference. Anything involving Jake Paul is expected to possess some sort of adolescent behavior, but this 20 minute gathering between the social media star and the three Fury men was simply an ugly mistake.

As a result, BT Sport has been forced to issue an apology for the language shared between both parties on the live presser. John Fury certainly takes the cake for his comments about Paul’s girlfriend, but nobody was innocent in this poor attempt at a pre-fight promotion.

“This week BT Sport streamed a live boxing press conference that included a number of offensive and unacceptable comments, some of which has led to further online abuse,” read the statement.

“This goes against all the values that BT Sport wants to uphold. We would like to apologise for any offence or upset this has caused.”

What do you think, fight fans? Did this presser go too far?

Sound off!

Dana White has been invited to Triller’s Triad Combat event this Saturday live on FITE pay-per-view (PPV) from inside Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. It’s safe to say the UFC president will not be attending.

Triller co-founder and principal, Ryan Kavanaugh, reached out to White on social media on Thursday to extend an invite to the inaugural Triad Combat event this weekend. The event will feature a unique set of rules pitting professional boxers against MMA fighters.

Kavanaugh’s invitation was not a typical one you would send to someone that you want to attend an event. Instead, the Triller frontman delivered a sarcastic message to White while asking him to come see a “proper production” in person. White verbally dismantled Triller earlier this year by calling the promotion a “f—king joke” so Kavanaugh was likely just returning the favor. Check it out below:

“Dear Dana – Since Fight Club has broken every UFC viewership record, I thought perhaps you would want to see a proper production in action,” Kavanaugh wrote. “We would be more than happy to arrange a tour and a personalized autograph.”

While White is unlikely to attend this weekend’s Triad Combat event fight fans should be coming out in droves to witness the action. With former UFC fighters Frank Mir, Mike Perry, and Matt Mitrione gracing the PPV main card the fights should deliver across the board. Also, with no other combat events scheduled this weekend Triller will be holding it down for the holiday.

Chandler Defends McGregor: ‘He’s A Different Level Of Competitor’

Michael Chandler is once again defending Conor McGregor against his haters.

Chandler, who has taken the UFC by storm since making his debut earlier this year, is coming off a Fight of the Year candidate against Justin Gaethje at UFC 268. The former Bellator MMA champion may have lost, but Chandler put forth one of the gutsiest performances you’ll ever see against one of the toughest contenders in the UFC’s lightweight division. Even in a loss Chandler gained an insane amount of respect from fighters and fans alike.

With his new found stardom Chandler is once again hoping to land a fight with McGregor sometime in 2022. Chandler has always paid respect to “Notorious” and acknowledged the impact he has had on the sport of MMA and would love nothing more than to test his abilities against the former UFC champion.

During a recent appearance on the “Bussin’ With The Boys” podcast, Chandler discussed a potential clash with McGregor. Not only did Chandler credit McGregor for an unflappable mental game, but he also expressed his disdain for anyone who thinks “Notorious” is not a different level of competitor.

“That left hand can put anybody out on the entire planet,” said Chandler. “I think my right hand can put anybody out on the the entire planet, so I think it’s a perfect fight. It’s a different approach when you’re fighting a guy like Conor because fighting a guy like Gaethje, who loves to brawl, is much easier than a guy who you’re really afraid to sometimes throw a punch at because of the shot that you don’t see coming as you’re pulling your hand back. So, you definitely got to be on your Ps and Qs with the striking. But then the coolest thing about Conor, too, is everybody always talks about how bad of a wrestler he is, how bad of a grappler he is.

“Chad Mendes took him down a couple times. He got taken down a couple times in the second (Nate) Diaz fight. He got taken down numerous times in other fights, and he has always kept his composure. His mental awareness capacity and stability inside of the octagon, inside the confines of competition, especially with how heightened the stakes and the senses are inside of his fights while everybody in the entire world is watching, is something to behold, man. He’s a different level of competitor, and anybody who discredits him because he’s lost fights is just either a casual or a Conor hater, to be honest with you.”

McGregor, who is currently rehabbing an injured leg suffered at the hands of Dustin Poirier this past July, has already made it known that he wants a title shot in his return. That would essentially put a matchup with Chandler on hold, but it’s a fight that could still happen down the line. And considering the way Chandler has been fighting it could turn out to be one of the craziest first rounds of all time.

Things took a cringy turn earlier this week during the pre-fight press conference between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury. Strange insults were delivered by both sides as well as Fury’s father, John Fury.

In addition, reigning heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury was also in attendance as his brother verbally battled Paul ahead of their boxing match next month on Showtime pay-per-view (PPV). “Gypsy King” tried to stay out of the spotlight and let his younger bother do the work, but Paul kept dragging Fury’s name into the mix. Being an undefeated fighter who is one of the best boxers in the world today Fury could only take so much before bursting out a reply.

“I’ve been brought in to be abused, have I?” Tyson joked. “F*ckin’ hell, I’ve done nothing. I’ve been brought in to be abused by some f*cking p*ssies.

“Listen, I will take the back of my hand to him and his brother and his whole family and his blowjob trainer as well, BJ Flores. ‘Blowjob Flores.’ They’re not fighters, and when Tommy knocks him into next week then knocks his brother into next week, you’ll find out.”

As you know by now Paul has attempted to hijack the sport of boxing with absurd money fights against washed up or retired MMA fighters, like Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley. While the social media star has ended up winning those fights and remains undefeated entering his clash with Tommy this December, Paul isn’t showing much of anything when it comes to his actual boxing ability.

Instead, Paul does most of his damage pre-fight with unprovoked trashtalk and a slew of promotional material to help sell his fight. Paul has done a good job at delivering those necessary efforts, but Tyson believes Paul has dropped off leading into his matchup with Tommy.

“He hasn’t really done anything,” Tyson said. “I’m waiting for this master of sales to do something.”

“Just two months ago you were saying, ‘Jake’s fresh air, we love what he’s doing. Me and John or whatever his name is love what he’s doing,’” Paul returned fire. “So make up your mind.”

“That was three months ago,” Tyson said. “Now I think you’re a wanker.”

Paul will have another chance to prove his doubters wrong next month when he takes on Tommy Fury in his hardest fight to date. If Paul is able to win again this circus will continue heading into the new year. If Fury is able to hand Paul his first defeat it could send the social media star back to where he came from.
