Khaos Williams delivered another memorable stoppage earlier tonight (Sat., Nov. 13, 2021) at UFC Vegas 42 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, when the welterweight knockout artist put an end to contender Miguel Baeza via third-round TKO (punches).

This was a wild welterweight fight from the opening bell as both men slung heavy leather trying to find the knockout. Both chins held up and it allowed Baeza to slow things down in the second round with ripping calf kicks. They seemed to bother Williams, but “Khaos the Ox Fighter” kept his cool and launched a heavy punching attack early into the third round that caught Baeza and stopped him in his tracks.

Williams, 27, is now 4-1 under the UFC banner with his lone loss coming against welterweight contender Michel Pereira. His performances to date have been quite impressive and this finish should launch Williams into a top 15 matchup his next time out.

Song Yadong scored an impressive TKO finish earlier tonight (Sat., Nov. 13, 2021) at UFC Vegas 42 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, when the promising bantamweight contender stopped Julio Arce in the second round of their main card opener.

Yadong came out firing in this 135-pound matchup and didn’t give Arce must of an opportunity to land his own shots. Arce did try to ramp up his efforts in Round 2, but Yadong caught him with a head kick and a right hand to hurt him. Arce started to fall back into the cage as Yadong rushed in for a brutal right hand that slumped him and allowed the Chinese fighter to earn the stoppage.

Check out the video highlights above courtesy of UFC/ESPN.

Yadong, who is just 23 years of age, is now 7-1-1 under the UFC banner since his Octagon debut in 2017. This was easily his most impressive performance to date, but it’s just the beginning. Yadong has all the tools to make a run at the bantamweight top 10 heading into next year.

Max Holloway will look to continue his featherweight dominance later today (Sat., Nov. 13, 2021) at UFC Vegas 42 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, when the former champion takes on Yair Rodriguez in an exciting main event matchup.

For Holloway, this is another opportunity for him to prove he’s still next in line to fight Alexander Volkanovski for the undisputed featherweight title. “Blessed” looked tremendous in his last outing against Calvin Kattar this past January and likely could have held out for his trilogy fight with the champ, but Holloway is a true fighter. He wanted to stay active and keep raising the bar at 145 pounds and now has the chance to knock off another top threat in the division.

For Rodriguez, this will be his first Octagon appearance since a decision win over Jeremy Stephens back in Oct. 2019. While “El Pantera” performed well in his five-round clash with Stephens fight fans remember Rodriguez’s last-second knockout win over Korean Zombie more than anything else. If Rodriguez can reproduce those improbably results against one of the greatest featherweights of all time in Holloway then he will surely secure his first ever UFC title shot in 2022.

Check out their fight video preview embedded above.

The pay-per-view (PPV) boxing event between Canelo Alvarez and Caleb Plant went toe-to-toe with UFC 268 earlier this month and still came out on top.

According to a report by BoxingScene, the Canelo vs. Plant PPV absolutely crushed it with an estimated 800,000 buys in the domestic U.S. That includes purchases made through traditional services like cable/satellite and digital buys through the Showtime App. The expected PPV number was closer to 500,000 so the event blew away all early predictions.

For the 800,000 PPV buyers that tuned in to see Canelo fight Plant they truly got a bang for their buck. After a close first few rounds Canelo started to take over and show yet again why he’s one of the best fighters in the world. The Mexican star ended up finishing Plant via TKO in the 11th-round (highlights HERE) to become the first-ever undisputed super middleweight champion of the world.

As mentioned, the Canelo vs. Plant PPV went head-to-head with UFC 268, which featured Kamaru Usman vs. Colby Covington 2, Rose Namajunas vs. Zhang Weili 2, and Justin Gaethje vs. Michael Chandler. It was odd to see the boxing event scheduled for the same night as one of UFC’s biggest cards of the year, but it’s clear that Canelo has a massive following that will watch him fight no matter what else is going on.

Alvarez, 31, has now won his last eight trips to the ring since fighting Gennady Golovkin to a draw back in 2017. Overall, Canelo is now 57-1-2 in his professional boxing career with his only loss coming at the hands of Floyd Mayweather Jr. in his prime. It’s been quite impressive to see what Canelo has done inside of the ring of late and now on the PPV side of things as well.

Yair Rodriguez will make his awaited return to the Octagon tomorrow evening (Sat., Nov. 13, 2021) at UFC Vegas 42 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, when “El Pantera” matches up against former UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway in the main event.

This will be the first time Rodriguez is stepping inside of the cage since capturing a decision win over Jeremy Stephens back in Oct. 2019. That fight came one month after an original matchup with Stephens ended in an accidental eye poke. It’s been two years since those back-to-back fights with “Lil Heathen” so Rodriguez will need to impress this weekend to regain some momentum in the featherweight division.

Luckily, fight fans already have some footage of Rodriguez and his conquests at 145 pounds. While the Mexican fighter has produced a worthy 8-1 (1 NC) record since his debut back in 2014 the most memorable outing for Rodriguez came against Chan Sung Jung in a main event clash just over three years ago. “Korean Zombie” did more than enough to outclass Rodriguez over the course of all five rounds, but Rodriguez ended up stopping the featherweight contender with a last-second elbow. It was quite spectacular.

Check it out above courtesy of UFC.

Rodriguez, 29, is a massive betting underdog against Holloway this weekend and rightfully so. Holloway is arguably the best featherweight fighter of all time and is coming off a dominant win over Calvin Katter his last time out. It seems like Rodriguez will have to do something special to capture a victory over “Blessed,” but the above finish is evident that Rodriguez has a knack for producing improbably results.
