Gregory Rodrigues found the staple win he was looking for earlier today (Sat., Oct. 23, 2021) at UFC Vegas 41 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, when “Robocop” stopped game opponent Jun Yong Park via second-round knockout (punches).

This fight was an absolute war from the start. Rodrigues was able to dictate the pace early on and land the more meaningful shots, but Park battled back to tire the Brazilian fighter in the second round. The two went toe-to-toe with heavy strikes inside and along the cage in a true battle of attrition. In the end, it was Rodrigues who landed the final few punches and wobbled Park enough on the feet for the referee to jump in.

Lightweight prospect Jai Herbert finally captured his first UFC win earlier today (Sat., Oct. 23, 2021) at UFC Vegas 41 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, when the former Cage Warriors champion stopped veteran Khama Worthy via first-round TKO (punches).

Herbert was calculated from the early going as he landed punches from range and circled away from danger. Worthy wasn’t presented with many chances to land his own punches. After a few minutes of back-and-forth action Herbert moved in and unloaded a flurry of strikes. A few punches caught Worthy on the chin and sent him crashing to the canvas. Herbert jumped on top for piercing follow-up shots to score the finish.

Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson is expected to be the next in line to fight social media influencer Logan Paul.

This is according to a recent report by social media outlet Drama Alert (shown below). The complete details are unknown at this time, but the report suggests Tyson vs. Paul will unfold in February of 2022. That gives us four months to prepare for what will be one of the biggest combat events of next year.

Tyson, 55, returned to the world of boxing in Nov. 2020 for an exhibition match with fellow legend Roy Jones Jr. Despite his time off “Iron Mike” looked tremendous in his first action in 15 years. Tyson ended up fighting Jones Jr. to a draw, but he opened some eyes with his still-ferocious punching. It will be interesting to see how the former champion fairs against someone as young and spry as Paul, but Tyson will clearly have a technical advantage.

Paul, 26, is coming off a massive PPV boxing match against pound-for-pound legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. The social media star was obviously outclassed in the fight, but he went eight rounds with “Money” and proved he’s a viable fighter inside of the ring. Paul will have to punch harder and tuck his chin more against Tyson, but he’ll have another chance to knock off one of boxing’s greatest names.

UFC 241: Romero v Costa

Paulo Costa will have his chance to redeem himself later tonight (Sat., Oct. 23, 2021) at UFC Vegas 41 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, when he takes on Marvin Vettori in a makeshift 205-pound main event. The bout was originally scheduled to be contested at middleweight but Costa experienced serious weight complications leading up to the fight.

Luckily for Costa, Vettori is a gamer and accepted the changes without fail. With little star power on the UFC Vegas 41 card the promotion needed to keep Costa vs. Vettori atop the marquee. UFC was able to get the two sides to agree on a new weight and here we are.

Costa, who is coming off a TKO loss to UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya back in Sept. 2020, really needs a win coming into this fight to keep his footing in the 185-pound division. But with his recent weight cut issues it’s plausible that Costa needs a win this weekend to even stay on the UFC roster. The stakes are high and Costa will look to land his power shots on Vettori and regain considerable momentum within the promotion.

Before Costa locks horns with Vettori later today on ESPN+ you can check out his last Octagon victory in the video player above courtesy of UFC. It came against Yoel Romero at UFC 241 back in 2019. Costa and Romero went toe-to-toe over the course of three rounds, but it was “Eraser” who came out on top on the heels of ferocious striking. It remains the biggest victory of Costa’s career.
