Conor McGregor and Tony Ferguson have locked horns yet again on social media and this time it ended with a death threat.

It all started with a Twitter post by McGregor responding to a fan pointing out how big the former UFC champion is getting. With so much time on his hands as he recovers from his UFC 264 leg injury “Notorious” has been hitting the gym pretty hard and has bulked up leading into his eventual Octagon return. In typical McGregor fashion the Irish star took a shot at his competition while commenting back.

“All I read was “look how big he has gotten” My man! These clowns are f—ked when I get back.”

Ferguson, who has shared a storied past with McGregor, came out of left field to take his own shot at “Notorious.” Not only did Ferguson accuse McGregor of taking growth hormone to get so big in his time off but “El Cucuy” also took aim at McGregor’s ongoing legal situation involving a concussed Italian DJ.

“Taking Growth Hormone Will Do That To Someone’s Build. You’re Mentally Weak & Your Leg Is Compromised. Your Fragile, Frail & Breakable. That GH Gon’ Make U Break Kid. Keep Pumpin’ Ya Chest Ya Cheat. Not The 1st Time God Punished You. You Like Picking On People And DJ’s? WTF Pussy”

McGregor, who is never one to shy away from a social media showdown, quickly took offense and unloaded a series of tweets directed at Ferguson’s personal life and business decisions. “Notorious” also stated that he’s ready and willing to kill an opponent inside of the cage, which included Ferguson.

“Omg, god bless you kid. Mental basket sad case,” McGregor began in a since deleted tweet. “I am going to share your scared wife’s video that was sent to us of you screaming crying as you smash your house up. What a sad bastard u are. No brains. Empty head. Losing streak. No management. Wife sending us videos in fear.

“Tony was douped into signing with another agency on the premise he would receive a pro Baseball contract hahahaha a pro f—king baseball contract now he’s in legal turmoil with this crowd ahahahah no shit Jose Canseco what did you f—king think would happen empty head.”

“Me and you are fighting one day mate and I gonna end your life in there full of it. Sauce. Money. Power. I already won all the belts and the money in this game I just wanna kill one of yous rats in there now it’s the only thing left for me to do. And Watch me do it. Only on PPV.”

While McGregor has unfinished business with the likes of Dustin Poirier and Nate Diaz the former UFC double champ has been lining up for a fight with Ferguson for years. The two fighters should have met much earlier in their careers but it didn’t happen for multiple reasons. With both fighters coming off consecutive losses an argument can be made that now is the perfect time for “Notorious” and “El Cucuy” to finally settle their beef inside of the Octagon.

What do you think, fight fans? Is it time to finally book McGregor vs. Ferguson?

Did Costa Miss Weight To Get Cut By UFC?

Paulo Costa has officially made the 205-pound mark for his main event clash with Marvin Vettori this Saturday (Oct. 23, 2021) at UFC Vegas 41 live on ESPN+ from Las Vegas. The only issue is Costa was originally expected to compete at 185 pounds before making some last minute switches.

Having not competed since a loss to current UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya at UFC 253 back in Sept. 2020 this weekend was supposed to be a big return to action for Costa. Unfortunately, poor weight management leading up to the fight prevented the Brazilian from making the 185-pound mark. As a result, UFC officials were forced to negotiate a catchweight bout of 195 pounds and then another change to 205 pounds to accommodate Costa. Vettori ended up agreeing to both changes.

At this point, it doesn’t look like Costa is going to be part of the UFC middleweight division moving forward. Even if he happens to defeat Vettori this weekend at UFC Vegas 41 how could the promotion count on him to show up and make weight for another main event? UFC will most likely have to permanently bump Costa up to the light heavyweight division.

Vettori’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz, believes that Costa did his best job to miss weight in order to get cut from UFC entirely. That may seem a little far-fetched, but Costa already pulled out of his main event fight with Jared Cannonier back in August due to lack of pay. He was already butting heads with the promotion so maybe this was his way of getting back at them.

Check out Abdelaziz’s claim below:

“First costa asked 195 lbs @MarvinVettori said yes. After that he asked light heavyweight Marvin said yes.Marvin is the real fighter. But i was not cool that costa making a joke about weight. Sat night Marvin goes to jail hurting this man. This is not a game.”

“I wasn’t gonna say nothing but he is making fun of weight cut. He is doing everything to make ufc to cut him and cancel the fight. But this is not gonna happen.”

“I was being told he will never be allowed to fight in middleweight again. I will do my best to make his opponent last name Magomedov. This is disrespectful to the sports, the coaches, training partners, even worst his team laughing with him and think it is funny.”

What do you think, Maniacs? Is Costa trying to get cut from UFC?

Aspen Ladd did not show up earlier tonight (Sat., Oct. 16, 2021) at UFC Vegas 40 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, and her coaches were not happy.

Some slack should be given to Ladd in her main event loss (read recap here) to Norma Dumont because she was a late filler after Holly Holm went down. Still, Ladd was supposed to fight two weeks ago before a botched weight cut and, presumably, had her ducks in a row for a five-round fight with Dumont.

Unfortunately, Ladd did little to nothing over the course of 25 minutes and it prompted her coaches to question her in the corner. “Please tell me what you’re doing,” her head coach at MMAGOLD, Jim West, pleaded to her between the later rounds. Ladd hadn’t fought since Dec. 2019, but she’s never been the type of fighter to shy away from a fight and not impose her will.

It was strange to say the least.

Check out one of the moments from Ladd’s corner below:

After the fight, MMA’s best discussed the exchanges between Ladd and her coaches during the most difficult performance of her career. The masses were not happy. Check out the reaction below:

Norma Dumont shut down Aspen Ladd last night (Sat., Oct. 16, 2021) at UFC Vegas 40 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, to claim a unanimous decision win in her first-ever UFC main event.

Ladd, who missed weight terribly early this month, was moving up from bantamweight to fill in for Holly Holm in the featherweight headliner. She had been training for a fight two weeks ago, but Ladd failed to really implement her game in this bout. In fact, Ladd’s corner asked her after the third and fourth rounds, “Please tell me what you’re doing!”

Dumont, on the other hand, had her way from range on the feet. She utilized a nice jab and good movement to hit and not get hit. The featherweight contender could have done a little more herself, but she was cruising and left little doubt that she was the better fighter.

Nate Landwehr pulled off a big upset earlier tonight (Sat., Oct. 16, 2021) at UFC Vegas 40 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, when the featherweight prospect stopped Ludovit Klein via third-round submission (anaconda choke).

Both men went toe-to-toe for the majority of this fight. Klein is more of a patient striker who waits for his window of opportunity, but Landwehr dragged him into a dog fight from the opening bell and it didn’t end well for the Slovakian fighter. Landwehr ended up gaining top control along the cage in Round 3 and slapped in a tight anaconda choke on Klein. “The Train” rolled over and was able to apply the squeeze for his first career win by submission.
