Mike Tyson will be in attendance to witness former boxing rival Evander Holyfield fight Vitor Belfort later this evening (Sat., Sept. 11, 2021) live on FITE TV pay-per-view (PPV) from inside Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

This is according to a recent report by ESPN’s Mike Coppinger (shown below). It is unknown at this time if Tyson will have any involvement in the actual PPV broadcast, but he will be sitting ringside for the main event.

Per Coppinger, Triller is hoping that Tyson’s attendance will lend a hand in setting up a future trilogy bout with Holyfield. Of course, “Real Deal” will have to defeat Belfort to clear a path for the trilogy bout, but given Holyfield and Tyson’s history inside of the boxing ring it’s a no-brainer matchup assuming everything aligns.

Tyson, 55, made his return to boxing in Nov. 2020 for an exhibition match against fellow boxing legend Roy Jones Jr. The bout went all eight rounds and it seemed like Tyson did enough to win the contest, but it was ultimately ruled a draw. Tyson has been trying to book his next fight since March, but nothing has materialized.

Maybe a Holyfield win on Saturday will be enough to finally put pen to paper for the trilogy fight.

Former President of the United States Donald Trump will make a special appearance later tonight (Sat., Sept. 11, 2021) to commentate the Evander Holyfield vs. Vitor Belfort boxing event live on FITE TV pay-per-view (PPV) from inside Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

As crazy as it is to see Holyfield vs. Belfort atop the marquee it’s even more insane that Trump is coming out of hiding to offer alternative commentary for the entire PPV card. The former POTUS will be joined by his son, Donald Trump Jr., as the two men soak the action up ringside.

The PPV main card is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. ET live on FITE TV pay-per-view (PPV) and will offer four fights in total. The co-main event of the evening, which is considerably more attractive than the headlining act, will be contested between former UFC champions Anderson Silva and Tito Ortiz.

You can find out all the ways to watch the ‘Holyfield vs. Belfort’ PPV card by clicking HERE. Just be prepared to spend $49.99 for the Triller-led boxing event.

If you’re trying to tap into the alternative commentary by Donald Trump then you’ll have to switch over to the “No Holds Barred” edition of the PPV main card. The FITE TV website has an alternative option dedicated to Trump’s “gamecast,” while other streaming devices will need to be switched over using the secondary audio program (SAP) function.

Holyfield: Kids Told Me ‘You Don’t Need To Be Getting Hit’

Evander Holyfield is stepping back into the limelight for the first time in 10 years to fight Vitor Belfort in a boxing match later tonight (Sat., Sept. 11, 2021) live on FITE TV pay-per-view (PPV) and his family is a little concerned.

Holyfield, who turns 59 next month, is a complete shell of his former self. Despite logging some of the most historic heavyweight rounds in the history of the sport Holyfield did not look like the “Real Deal” earlier this week when he showcased his current boxing skills for media members. In fact, the combat community seemed to collectively cringe after witnessing Holyfield’s atrocious pad work.

Fight fans are not the only ones showing signs of concern for Holyfield as he meets a former UFC champion looking to add to an already legendary career of devastating knockouts. Holyfield’s kids, who have seen their father fight the likes of Mike Tyson, George Foreman, Larry Holmes, and Lennox Lewis, are worried that Belfort might land more punches then he should.

“This is the first time my kids ever told me… ‘Dad, you don’t need to be getting hit,’” Holyfield told ESPN.

So why is Holyfield fighting? If he hasn’t competed in 10 years, is nearing 60 years of age, and doesn’t appear to have much of anything left in the tank, why is “Real Deal” strapping on the boxing gloves to fight a rejuvenated Belfort?

“You are absolutely right,” Holyfield said. “At least I’m fighting somebody that I know I can protect myself [against]. The whole thing’s about protection. You don’t become a good fighter until you know how not to get hit…. I know all the things that’s necessary to be safe.”

“It’s kind of hard to turn down a big sum of something when you know you can do it. Plus you gotta understand, they saying fight somebody who boxing ain’t his thing.”

Boxing may not be Belfort’s “thing,” but the former UFC champion is one of the most dangerous knockout artists in the history of MMA. Over the course of 26 career MMA wins Belfort has recorded 18 equally-devastating knockouts. “Phenom” will have some adjusting to do as he crosses over to the boxing ring, but his hand speed and punching power are still relevant. More so than a 58-year-old Holyfield coming off his couch.

All of that said, this fight has still been sanctioned by the Florida Athletic Commission and fight fans will come in droves to pay out of pocket to watch it. Holyfield may not be in condition to go deep into a main event fight with Belfort, but there’s always a chance he pulls something out of his arsenal and surprises fight fans everywhere.

Triller Swings, Triller Misses! Obama Commentating Rumors Debunked

Don’t expect to see former President of the United States Barack Obama doing commentary for a Triller boxing event anytime soon.

After it was announced that former POTUS Donald Trump will be stepping in for special commentating duties later tonight (Sat., Sept. 11, 2021) at the ‘Evander Holyfield vs. Vitor Belfort’ boxing event live on FITE TV pay-per-view (PPV) news surfaced that Obama was in talks to commentate a future event under the Triller banner.

This was according to Triller’s Ryan Kavanuagh, who told ESPN’s Mike Coppinger that the promotion was in talks with Obama’s Foundation to have the former president takeover microphone duties for an upcoming Teofimo Lopez vs. George Kambosos fight card. Fight fans got excited and the rumor mill started to rapidly churn.

Sadly, Triller’s attempt to lock down Obama for a future commentating role doesn’t seem to be entirely accurate. According to New York Times Kevin Draper, a spokeswoman for the Obama Foundation says they have not spoken to Triller and that the idea of Obama being in talks to commentate Lopez vs. Kambosos is “inaccurate.”

Despite the Obama Foundation throwing a cold bucket of water on the idea of Obama commentating a Triller boxing event it doesn’t mean it will never happen. Nobody ever thought Trump would come out of the woodwork to commentate a Holyfield vs. Belfort boxing match so anything is possible in this day and age.

It all goes down later tonight (Sat., Sept. 11, 2021) live on FITE TV pay-per-view (PPV) from inside Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla., as boxing legend Evander Holyfield meets former UFC champion Vitor Belfort in a main event matchup.

While Belfort was originally expected to fight Oscar De La Hoya before “Golden Boy” contracted COVID-19 this is still a reasonable consolation prize. Holyfield is a 58-year-old former champion who hasn’t competed in over 10 years, but he should still give Belfort enough looks to see how “Phenom” fares inside of the boxing ring. Fight fans will just have to ignore Holyfield’s cringe-worthy training session from earlier this week.

The co-main event of the evening will feature a cruiserweight bout between former UFC champions Anderson Silva and Tito Ortiz. Silva is coming off an impressive victory over former boxing champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. this past June and is looking to continue his boxing takeover. Ortiz is hardly the most dangerous opponent when it comes to striking, but “Huntington Beach Bad Boy” is an experienced fighter who has promised to bring the heat.

It may not be the most conventional weekend fight card but it’s a PPV event you won’t want to miss, especially considering former President of the United States Donald Trump will be offering special commentary. Take a look below at all the ways to watch the ‘Holyfield vs. Belfort’ PPV card:

The legendary Evander Holyfield will make his unexpected return to boxing this evening (Sat., Sept. 11, 2021) live on FITE TV pay-per-view (PPV) from inside Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla., when the former heavyweight champion of the world meets former UFC champion Vitor Belfort inside of the squared circle.

Belfort, who was originally expected to fight Oscar De La Hoya at this event, will be making his professional boxing debut. The MMA knockout artist found out just one week ago that his opponent for tonight would be Holyfield after De La Hoya pulled out of the fight due to COVID. It’s certainly a big switch, but “Phenom” seems ready nonetheless to put a hurting on a former world champion and become the next MMA star to have success inside of the boxing ring.

Holyfield, on the other hand, has nothing left to prove. The 58-year-old legend has been involved in some of the biggest heavyweight fights of all time and is stepping up on short notice to prove his experience is still measurable inside of the ring. “Real Deal” also jumped at an opportunity to score a nice PPV payday and to position himself for more high-profile matchups heading into next year.

Ahead of Saturday’s main event fight fans can check out the full fight video preview for Holyfield vs. Belfort above, courtesy of Triller’s “Legends II” docuseries. We’ll have to wait and see if Holyfield is biting off more than he can chew or if Belfort can stop a living legend in his professional boxing debut.
