Streaking bantamweight prospect Adrian Yanez captured another UFC finish earlier tonight (Sat., July 24, 2021) at UFC Vegas 32 live on ESPN/ESPN+ from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, when he stopped fellow youngster Randy Costa via second-round TKO (punches).

This fight was a barn burner from the opening bell. Both bantamweights came to fight but it was Costa who did more damage early on the heels of a stiff jab. Yanez kept plodding forward and absorbed all of the punishment. In Round 2, Yanez pushed the pace even more and started to land his own jab before launching a clean uppercut that hurt Costa and sat him down. Yanez landed some hard follow-up punches before the referee stepped in for the stoppage.

Yanez has now won each of his first three Octagon appearances by way of knockout or TKO and looks ready to test his luck against the bantamweight top 15. He took on a little more damage than he should have in this matchup, but it just goes to show how tough the Texas native truly is.

Conor McGregor is already back in the gym training just two weeks removed from breaking his leg in a loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 (see it HERE).

McGregor, who suffered his second straight technical knockout loss to “Diamond” earlier this month, underwent successful surgery days after the fight to repair fractures of his tibia and fibula. The former UFC champion claims he sustained an injury to his leg pre-fight, but many believe Poirier’s ability to check McGregor’s kicks at UFC 264 aided in the injury.

Regardless, McGregor is now on the fast track back and is doing everything he can to ensure a successful return to the Octagon. It’s going to take “Notorious” quite some time to heel and be able to ramp up his training efforts, but the Irish superstar is already back in the gym.

McGregor posted the above photos to Instagram on Saturday showing his early progression.

“Life is not about what happens to us. But how we handle what happens to us! Let’s go team, God Bless. Still grinding!” he wrote.

Looks like McGregor is taking a page out of Chris Weidman’s book, who recently broke his leg and returned to training just weeks later.

McGregor, 33, has now lost three out of his last four trips to the Octagon. He hasn’t looked like the same fighter he once was and nobody really knows what to expect when he steps foot inside of the cage again. A fourth fight with Poirier is certainly an option, but recovery is McGregor’s biggest opponent at this time.

Rising middle contender Nassourdine Imavov captured the biggest win of his MMA career earlier tonight (Sat., July 24, 2021) at UFC Vegas 32 live on ESPN/ESPN+ from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, when he handed veteran Ian Heinisch his first knockout loss in the form of a second-round TKO (knee and punches).

Heinisch came of winging leg kicks to try to slow Imavov and take away his size advantage. Imavov was able to walk through each and every one to land punches from range and bust Heinisch up. In Round 2, Imavov was able to land some straight punches that hurt Heinisch and allowed Imavov to move in for a brutal knee along the cage. Some insurance shots followed and Imavov walked away with the win.

Check out the highlight finish above courtesy of UFC/ESPN.

This is a big win for the 26-year-old Imavov who was coming off a majority decision loss to Phil Hawes back in February. Heinisch has never been put away quite like this so it speaks levels about Imavov’s striking arsenal and overall potential as a 185-pound contender on the rise.
