Karyn Bryant, Her Husband and ‘Rampage’ Jackson’s Weird Sexual Relationship Continues

By Elias Cepeda

Ok, I can’t possibly be the only one who is reminded of this classic Chappelle’s Show  ‘Real World’ sketch whenever I watch Karyn Bryant get accosted by Quinton Jackson while her husband/cameraman/cuckold, Wade Eck silently and passively stands by and films the proceedings.

First there was Rampage’s attempt at motorboating Bryant to celebrate his win over Matt Hamill, and now this week he was back to his old tricks on Bryant’s MMA H.E.A.T. show. We’ve almost become numb to his antics and come to expect molestation from Rampage whenever a woman sticks a microphone in his face since it isn’t the first (or the second) female reporter Rampage “be humping” or otherwise sexually assaulting. Hell, we’ve lost count of the amount of videos out there of Rampage being his classy self.

Anyway, this time around Bryant had a full 45-minute sit down with Quinton, who we now know is all hopped up on testosterone injections, and besides his uncomfortable closeness to and constant leering and grabbing of Bryant, it was actually a pretty solid interview. He touched on a ton of topics including why he wants to leave the UFC, his rap career aspirations and how he helps his family and friends out financially.

But there was poor, pathetic Wade again, behind the camera, taking it all in, only this time he was forced to endure (or relished, who knows?) the grabbing and feigned foreplay much longer.

Not wanting to disappoint, Rampage, who said that Bryant is listed as “Karyn Motorboat” in his cell phone contact list, took things up another notch this time.

At one point, when the groping evidently got to be a little too distracting for Bryant, who asked if the T made him “more horny,” instead of telling him to stop, she reminded Jackson that her husband was standing right there. That’s when Jackson, without taking his legs or arms off of Karyn, began to dig in verbally at Eck, making fun of how Wade said he trains “full contact four days a week,” and telling him “while you were out training I was at your house.”

By the end of the interview Rampage basically had Bryant mocking her husband too. Sad and weird.

Though he’s off camera, one can just imagine the “Chad” character’s expression from Chappelle’s Real World sketch as he sobbed and masturbated while watching “Lysol,” and “Tyree” work his lady over in front of him on Wade’s face. Chad was of course being played by an actor in a fictional sketch. We’re not sure what Wade’s deal is.

Chael Sonnen (Sort of) Addresses TRT Use on Last Night’s ‘MMA Uncensored’ [VIDEO]

(“Taking testosterone is no different than Flintstone vitamins. Ask Cris Santos.”)

Chael Sonnen made a stop by SPIKE TV last night and sort of addressed his TRT use exemption and the suspension he received following his UFC 117 title fight with Anderson Silva for failing to disclose to California State Athletic Commission officials that he took the hormone prior to the bout.

Host Craig Carton segued into the topic while they were discussing Quinton “Rampage” Jackson’s recent revelation that he is on the youth tonic as well. Sonnen was quick to point out that there are plenty of other substances that are better performance-enhancing-wise, but then denied that testosterone was a performance enhancer. Classic contradictory and convoluted Chael.

“There’s two things there. Hold on. If you’re gonna associate the guy with TRT, make sure you also associate the fact that it’s legal and it’s not banned. Second thing with TRT is people are really getting confused. They look at TRT and they’re missing the stuff that really is good,” Sonnen explained. “TRT is eight, nine, 10 on the list of things that a person could take to help their careers go along. Secondly, any time a person says ‘performance enhancer,’ stop talking to them, because they don’t have the intellect to debate with you.”

Secondly, any time a person says ‘performance enhancer,’ stop talking to them, because they don’t have the intellect to debate with you.”

Then “The Gangster from America” went on to say that he wouldn’t take a substance if it didn’t better his performance.

“I wanna make this point: I would never take anything, ever,  if I didn’t think it would help my performance,” Chael said. “That’s what medicine is in 21st century America. Imagine if you go to the doctor and say, ‘Doc, I’m feeling great. You got anything that can bring me down a notch?’ That’s malpractice. It’s all meant to help your performance.”

So what is it, is T a performance enhancer or not? Carton believes it is when the athlete has enhanced levels of it in his or her system when they compete, and he calls Chael on it since his levels were curiously high for the Silva fight.

“No, no, no. Absolutely not. Not only did I not take more of it [before the fight], I was never even accused of that. Josh Gross, who’s incompetent beyond measure, went on ESPN and said that I did, so it became my reality, so I went with it,” he pointed out. “I was never even accused of that. The final thought it this: Is it legal or is it not legal? If a person’s taking a legal substance, that’s the end of the conversation. Testosterone is legal.”

So Josh Gross and Kenny Rice are now on Chael’s “do not talk to” list. It’s a pretty safe bet that Carton will be added to it now too, especially after cracking a joke that Sonnen tested for higher test levels than an elephant for the fight.

“You’re makin’ that up. You’re sounding a lot like Josh Gross. You absolutely did not [see the test results]. [CSAC]  is a government agency. I was extremely transparent. I was never even accused of [taking too much testosterone before the fight],” Sonnen corrected. “Josh Gross reported that. It was a non-disclosure issue. I don’t know how they would have handled it [if I had won the title], because at the end of the day I was punished.”

Thankfully the UFC didn’t have to cross that bridge. Having to call Anderson in to Zuffa HQ so Dana could hand him a big fancily wrapped package to open with the belt in it would have been awkward, especially when everyone jumped out and yelled, “Surprise!!!” It would have made for an entertaining video blog by Dana, though.

Floyd Mayweather to Manny Pacquiao (In Best Soup Nazi Voice): No More Pay-Per-View Cut for You [VIDEO]

(How about $1 Million dollars and an autographed 8×10?”)

Manny Paquiao told reporters during a recent media scrum that Floyd Mayweather recently called him up and offered him a guaranteed $40 million purse, but said he wasn’t willing to share a cent of the pay-per-view cut.

“I spoke with Floyd on the phone. He called me on the weekend. I told him, ‘Let’s make the fight happen and I agree for 50/50 [on the pay-per-view] and whatever blood testing you want, as long as you agree for 50/50.’ And he said, ‘Let’s do this. I’ll give you this amount and no more pay-per-view for you,” Pac Man recalled with a chuckle. “After that, I gave it to my people [to handle]. He was very serious. It’s okay with me that he has a bigger guarantee and I have a smaller guarantee, but it’s 50/50 for the distribution of the pay-per-view.”

According to Paquiao’s manager, the final offer given to Mayweather was a $50 million guarantee for Manny and a 45-55 percent split of the pay-per-view revenue, but “Pretty Boy Floyd” just wasn’t having it.

“Manny said,’ ‘Let’s make it a prize fight where the winner will get a prize less than 10 percent more than the loser,” he explained.

Paquiao revealed that the bout, if it does happen, could be his final fight and said that his family wants him to retire too.

“My kids — the youngest one is 11 years old and he said, ‘Daddy, I want you to retire, but, before you retire I have one request.’ I [asked him], ‘What is that? And he said, ‘Give me one [more fight]. Fight Mayweather, beat him, and then retire.’ Even my kids [want to see that fight happen].”

Get in Here and Join Us for Our First Episode of ‘Ask the Potato Live’

UPDATE: The Spreecast room is live!  Get in here!

One thing that sets us apart from most other MMA sites (besides the hatred flung around the comment section like a beach ball at a Metallica concert) is the sense of community you’ve all shown. We’ve met a bunch of you handsome devils at the MMA Expo in Boston and our “Banned” party in Toronto and have always enjoyed conversing with you guys — except for ThisRedEngine. That guy was a douche.

Anyway, to add to our interaction with you guys on the front line, we’re happy to introduce what we’re hoping will be a regular segment around these parts: Ask the Potato Live.

Basically, it will serve as the video version of The Bum Rush Radio Show, but the difference will be that every episode will be based around your questions and the topics you want to discuss. It’s as much your show as it is ours, except we’re doing all the grunt work to set it up.

Here’s how you can get involved:

1. Sign up for a free Spreecast account and when the show is live, set up your video cam and microphone and let us know via the chat that you want to talk to us. We’ll queue you in and you can pose your question for us or our occasional special guest.

2 Sit back and enjoy the show.

3. Send us your suggestions for future episodes.

Thanks for joining us.

Rest Easy Russian Citizens (and Andrei Arlovski), Vyacheslav Datsik’s Prison Sentence Was Just Extended Six More Months

(Heil SpongeBob!)

The next likely Soviet serial killer, Vyacheslav Datsik won’t be getting out of jail for at least six months, thanks to the foresight of a St. Petersburg appeals court who rejected the batshit crazy former fighter’s request for early release and house arrest.

According to a report from RapsiNews.com, officials believe that the Neo-Nazi Russian, who was the first of many fighters to knock out Andrei Arlovski, poses a major flight risk and that he will almost certainly resume his criminal activities if he is released. Datsik escaped incarceration from a St. Petersburg mental institution in 2010 and fled to Norway where he was arrested carrying a loaded handgun. Prior to his arrest, members of the white extremist group he belongs to told reporters that he told them he would never be taken alive, but later relented and turned himself into Oslo police, asking them for asylum. He was extradited back to his home country where he has been detained ever since.

Datsik  was arrested in Russia in 2007 and accused of robbing cell phones shops in St. Petersburg and setting a church on fire. Psychiatrists assessing his mental state prior to his incarceration diagnosed him with schizophrenia, absolving him of criminal liability for the robberies, but they labeled the 32-year-old  dangerous to society. A follow-up examination he underwent in November proved that he was in fact mentally sane.

Apparently Datsik’s lawyers had an independent lab in Italy test him for craziness and the test came back clean. Seems legit.

Cesar Gracie Says Pettis or Penn Might Challenge Melendez Next

(“No rematch for you, Punk”)

According to Gilbert Melendez’s trainer, Cesar Gracie, the UFC are in talks to have either former UFC lightweight champ BJ Penn or former WEC lightweight champ Anthony Pettis challenge his charge for his Strikeforce strap next.

Gracie informed TATAME of the development today.

“Melendez’s situation is complex right now. We still don’t have an opponent, date or place set. They said he could fight in San Jose but it’ll probably change. They mentioned Josh Thomson but then said it was not going to happen”, Gracie explained.“I spoke to [UFC matchmaker] Joe Silva and he told me maybe some UFC fighters will go to Strikeforce. We would really like to see him fighting Pettis or BJ, but we are still not sure about what’s going to happen.”

Given that “Showtime” mentioned yesterday that he is considering dropping down to featherweight to challenge Jose Aldo in the near future, it would seem that the UFC brass are leaning towards “The Prodigy” for the bout. It would make sense since Penn has been uncharacteristically mum about his fighting future since his last fight and likely would have been mulling over the offer to swing over to the UFC’s sister promotion, considering how much less promotion and exposure it gets.

Melendez confirmed in a recent interview that reps from Zuffa indicated that he would no longer be facing Josh Thomson, who was thought to be his next opponent.

Another name that has been mentioned as an opponent for “El Nino” is Tyson Griffin, who was quietly suspended by Zuffa for failing a post-fight drug test for marijuana after his UFC 123 loss to Nick Lentz. Although it would create an interesting storyline since Griffin once trained under Gracie before leaving for Xtreme Couture, it’s unlikely considering he is 1-4 in his last five outings and rumor has it he’s been dropped by the UFC.

We’ll have more news on Melendez’s next opponent as it becomes available.
