Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira won’t return to training for at least three months after having surgery recently on his arm to repair ligament damage, according to his manager Ed Soares on The MMA Hour this past week.

Nogueira was injured in his fight against Fabricio Werdum at UFC on FUEL TV 10 on June 8, losing via armbar submission in the second round.

“The doctors are saying he will be back training in three months,” Soares said.

While Soares said he didn’t know who Nogueira wants to fight in his return, he said the Brazilian legend doesn’t have any plans to call it quits.

“He’s still a top 10 heavyweight in the world,” Soares said.
