Bellator 212: “Salute the Troops” goes down at Neal S. Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu, Hawaii, on Dec. 14, 2018. The event — which is free to all military personnel and their families — will be headlined by a long-anticipated rematch between Lightweight champion Brent Primus (8-0) and former champ “Iron” Michael Chandler (18-4).

Earlier today, an exciting new match was added to the “Prelims” portion of the undercard, which will stream live on DAZN before the main card begins on Paramount Network at 9 p.m. ET. Bellator officials confirmed that “Air” Tywan Claxton (3-0) will take on local favorite Kaeo Meyer (3-3) at Featherweight.

Claxton was an instant sensation in his Bellator debut, destroying Jonny Bonilla-Bowman via flying knee. He has remained undefeated since that bout, including a Bellator 204 fight where his opponent missed weight and Claxton mocked him with a Fortnite dance.

The pressure will be on Meyer — who hails from Honokaa, Hawaii — to not be Claxton’s second consecutive unprofessional opponent. Meyer normally fights at 155 pounds, but he may be looking to change his fortunes after a submission loss in a Lightweight Grand Prix for X-1 back in April of this year.
