In a recent interview with the Three Amigos Podcast, UFC strawweight attraction, Alex Chambers discussed why she sides with UFC brass in the ongoing fracas with featherweight champ, Conor McGregor.

Over the last few weeks, one news story has dominated the sport’s media community, the battle between UFC brass and featherweight champion, Conor McGregor. It’s a story that has lines drawn in the sand, seeing some fighters taking sides with Conor, and others taking the company standpoint. The topic has been particularly polarizing among fans.

In a recent interview with the Three Amigos Podcast, strawweight attraction, Alex Chambers discussed why she sides with the company. Here’s what she had to say:

“Perhaps it’s just really great publicity for the UFC. UFC 200 definitely has a lot of people talking about it, and it’s what’s on everyone’s mind.

I’m a fan of Conor McGregor, but Dana White is 100% correct that this is the business that we have to do as part of our commitment to the UFC –Alex Chambers

I’m a fan of Conor McGregor, but Dana White is 100% correct that this is the business that we have to do as part of our commitment to the UFC. It’s not only about inside the Octagon, it’s about what we do outside the Octagon, as well. It’s very important and we learn that from the beginning, from when we first join the UFC.

To be honest, I hope they kiss and make up soon.”

Some of the other topics discussed in this great interview with “Astro Girl” were:

  • When she realized her knee was injured during the fight with PVZ
  • If the ACL injury was a full tear & if it required surgery
  • If she was worried that it might be a career-ender
  • How long the rehab will be & how it’s impacted her training
  • How she got involved with Unibet
  • Her take on MMA as a sport to gamble on
  • USADA showing up on her doorstep a few days ago
  • What the last 9 months have been like since the injury
  • If she’ll be making any significant changes in her training going forward
  • Who she wants to fight next
