Seven-time WEC veteran Alex Karalexis has agreed to
welcome undefeated Chinese lightweight prospect Zhang Tie Quan to the WEC.
MMAjunkie.com has learned from sources close to the event that Karalexis and “The Mongolian Wolf” have both verbally
agreed to the WEC 51 contest, and bout agreements are expected to be
finalized shortly.
Featuring a featherweight title fight between current champion Jose Aldo
and UFC veteran Manny Gamburyan, WEC 51 takes place Sept. 30 in
Broomfield, Colo. The main card airs live on Versus.
