Former UFC light heavyweight title contender Alexander Gustafsson is set to return to action this September against Jan Blachowicz at UFC Fight Night 93.
Gustafsson (16-4) will look to keep pace with the rest of the division in Hamburg, Germany. The entire event airs on UFC Fight Pass from the Barclaycard Arena.
“The Mauler” is coming off a loss to Daniel Cormier for the title last year, dropping him to 0-2 in bouts for the belt. He also suffered a loss to Anthony Johnson in his home country of Sweden in a title-eliminator.
Blachowicz (19-5) is 2-2 over his Octagon career, including a win over Igor Pokrajac in April.
Officials also announced that Brad Pickett will take on Henry Briones in a bantamweight affair that night.
