He’ll get a second chance with the UFC, but will instead fight at 185 instead of 205.

“Cacareco will have another opportunity, maybe in February or March, and he’ll drop to middleweight”, said Rudimar Fedrigo, leader of the Chute Boxe team. “It was a suggestion that came from the UFC guys, they said it’d be better for him to fight in this division”.

“Cacareco” earned a spot with the UFC after winning seven straight victories. Amazingly, each of those victories was won by submission and all in the first round. In his entire career, Ferreira has never fought into the third round in 25 career bouts.
