I guess Japan is the new boxing.

It wasn’t that long ago when UFC fighters were dreaming of bigger and better opportunities in the “sweet science.” These days, it seems like everyone is trying to get to “The Land of the Rising Sun” to throw hands with not-Jackie Chan, or whoever else is hot at the moment.

Thanks, Floyd.

Not long after UFC superstar, Conor McGregor, called for a showdown opposite Tenshin Nasukawa (read it), former women’s featherweight champion, Cris Cyborg, threw her name into the proverbial hat for some overseas action.

Cyborg is more interested in rematching Amanda Nunes after “Lioness” stopped her fellow Brazilian at UFC 232 last December; however, the newly-crowned “champ champ” doesn’t appear to be in any big hurry to make that happen.

That means Cyborg can either fight another batch of featherweights in 2019, or wait for her UFC contract to expire and see what opportunities are available in RIZIN, the Japanese promotion that is trying to pick up where PRIDE FC left off.

Minus this little detail, of course.
