The first of three title fights at UFC 245 was a women’s featherweight bout between Amanda Nunes and Germaine de Randamie. From the opening bell, Nunes displayed a significant advantage on the ground, and while De Randamie showed some good moments on the feet as well, that was the key factor in this fight.

Round 5 – They hug. And Nunes takes her down about eight seconds later. Few light punches to the body. There’s not a lot happening. GDR looking for a standup. Nunes is doing just enough to avoid it. Two minutes to go. We’re still here. The crowd is booing again. De Randamie is trying to punch from the bottom but she has no leverage. One minute left. Nunes steps out. She jumps back in with a punch and avoids the upkick. Nunes in side. 10-9 and 49-45 Nunes.
