New #UFC160 fight to shout from the rooftops: Sadollah injured, now Nah-shon @ttherocknrolla Burrell in vs. Stephen @WonderboyMMA Thompson

UFC 160: Velasquez vs. Bigfoot 2 is expected to take place on May 25, 2013 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event will see a heavyweight rematch between current champ Cain Velasquez and No. 1 contender Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva.

The bout between Burrell and Thompson is likely to air on the FX broadcasted prelim card.

Burrell debuted in the Octagon last month at UFC 157 in a 175.8-lbs catchweight bout versus Yuri Villefort. Burrell was the one who missed weight, and with a cathcweight agreement in place, went on to defeat Villefort by decision. ‘The Rock-n-Rolla moved over to the UFC from Strikeforce coming over with a 3-1 record and a first round TKO loss to Chris Spang in his last fight.

Thompson suffered his first defeat in mixed martial arts last April at UFC 145, losing by decision to Matt Brown. ‘Wonderboy’ was then linked to a November UFC 154 match with Besam Yousef but was forced out with a knee injury and replaced by Matt Riddle. Prior to all of that Thompson made his Octagon debut just over a year-ago at UFC 143, picking up a first round knockout of Dan Stittgen with a “Knockout of the Night” winning head kick.
