With a recent first round submission victory last Friday night (June 8, 2012), UFC bantamweight Dustin ‘The Disciple’ Pague (11-5) is set to step back into the Octagon at next weekends UFC on FX 4 event.
Pague will be replacing an injured Francisco Rivera versus Ken Stone (10-3) on the events prelim card.
Dustin Pague will step inside the Octagon looking for back-to-back wins in a two-week span as he replaces the injured Francisco Rivera against Ken Stone at the UFC on FX event in Atlantic City on June 22nd ….
Pague is Stone’s third opponent in short order — his original opponent, Edwin Figueroa was injured and replaced just weeks ago by Rivera.
UFC on FX: Maynard vs. Guida (aka UFC on FX 4) is set to take place on June 22, 2012 at the Revel Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The two fighters will open the event which fans can catch via a live video stream on Facebook.com/UFC.
The victory last weekend was Pague’s first inside the Octagon after losing his debut via TKO to John Albert at the TUF 14 Finale last December. That was Pague’s first defeat in six pro-bouts after five straight finishes. Pague was a member of Team Mayhem and was eliminated by T.J. Dillashaw in the semi-finals.
Stone also won his first bout with the UFC in his last match, having choked out Donny Walker at UFN 25 last September. Stone had been scheduled to face Mike Easton at UFC on FX 1 last January but was forced out due to injury. Stone debuted with the UFC at the TUF 13 Finale, losing by first round knockout to Scott Jorgensen.
