Besides announcing the main event for UFC on Fuel TV 2, a light heavyweight bout between Alexander Gustafsson vs. Rogerio ‘Lil’ Nog’ Nogueira, the promotion also made a bantamweight fight official between WEC vet Brad ‘One Punch’ Fickett (20-6) vs. Damacio ‘The Angel of Death’ Page (12-6).
Also on the card, two explosive bantamweights will meet as England’s Brad Pickett and Damacio Page have verbally agreed to go at it in the Octagon.
UFC on Fuel TV 2 (aka UFC Sweden) is expected to take place on April 14, 2012 at the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden.
Pickett debuted in the Octagon last November, losing by submission Renan Barao at UFC 138 in the events “Fight of the Night” bout. ‘One Punch’ had been scheduled to debut with the UFC last May against Miguel Torres but was forced out due to injury. In the WEC cage, Pickett is 3-1 with wins over Ivan Menjivar, Demetrious Johnson and Kyle Dietz.
Page also debuted with the UFC in his last fight, losing to Brian Bowles via first round submission lats March at the UFC on Versus 3 show. Since then he was slated to face Norifumi Yamamoto at UFC 135 but was forced out due to injury. Page has dropped his last two fights, losing to Bowles and to Demetrious Johnson.
