UFC logoA UFC bantamweight bout is expected to occur between Michael McDonald (11-1) and Nick Pace (6-1) at the upcoming UFC Fight Night 24 in Seattle.

MMAjunkie.com reported the matchup on Tuesday evening, noting that contracts are close to being finalized and the bout would likely end up on the untelevised card.

McDonald will make his UFC debut against Pace at the event and is coming off his forth straight win in his last fight. His last fight took place in November at WEC 52, his WEC debut, against Clint Godfrey earning a first round submission win. The former Tachi Palace Fights bantamweight champ has never gone to decision earning 7 wins by (T)KO and 4 by submission.

Pace debuted with the UFC last month at the “TUF 12 Finale” against Will Campuzano. Pace failed to make weight for the bout and both fighters agreed to a 138 lbs catchweight bout. Fans may remember Pace’s victory as he used a “customized” gogoplata/guillotine/triangle choke, nick-named “The Pace Choke” to submit Campuzano. The win erased a loss to Demetrious Johnson at WEC 51 in his debut with that promotion.

UFC Fight Night 24 has yet to be officially announced, but the event is expected to take place on March 26 at the Key Arena in Seattle, Washington.
