Heavyweight World Grand Prix tournament winner Josh ‘The Warmaster’ Barnett led the payroll for this past weekends Strikeforce: Barnett vs. Kharitonov event, which payed out a total of $942,000 to the nights twenty participants.

Barnett earned $150,000 (no win bonus) for his victory over opponent Sergei Kharitonov, who tied for the second highest payout at $100,000 with fellow semi-finalists Daniel Cormier ($50,000+$50,000) and Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva ($100,000).

Strikeforce: Barnett vs. Kharitonov took place on September 10 at the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio. The five bout main card was broadcast on Showtime, while the entire prelim card aired live on HDNet.

The two next highest paid fighters were light heavyweights Muhammed ‘King Mo’ Lawal ($85,000) and opponent Roger Gracie ($80,000).
