Bellator 160 “Henderson vs. Pitbull” on Aug. 26, 2016 will take place at Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. Sparks will fly in the 155-pound main event as former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson will battle former Bellator featherweight champion Patricio “Pitbull” Freire.
A slew of intriguing fights has been added to the main card to flesh out the action live on Spike TV, and the latest announced bout puts flyweights in action as Lena Ovchynnikova (11-4) goes up against Jaimelene Nievera (4-1).
Ovchynnikova came into Bellator 150 with a lot of hype behind both her looks and her dual sport record in MMA and kickboxing (with multiple championships in the latter) but she lost an upset to the tough and durable Rebecca Ruth.
Nievera won’t roll over and give her an easy fight on the rebound. She knocked out Stephanie Frausto at Bellator 154 and is eager to repeat that success and show she’s a force to be reckoned with in Bellator’s growing flyweight division.
