Bloody Elbow is the place to be for live results and full play-by-play of Bellator 185 from Connecticut.

Join us tonight on Bloody Elbow for live results, streaming video (prelims) and detailed play-by-play as Bellator 185 comes to the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT. The headliner will see the Bellator debut of former Strikeforce and Dream champ Gegard Mousasi, as he takes on former Bellator middleweight champion Alexander Shlemenko.

Gegard Mousasi vs. Alexander Shlemenko

Round 1

Neiman Gracie vs. Zak Bucia

Round 1 – Gracie with a body kick. Gracie ducks a left and pushes Bucia back to the cage, looking for a takedown. Bucia gives up his back. He has full control of Bucia on the ground from the bottom. This doesn’t look good. Gracie can’t get an arm under the chin yet though. Gracie trying to soften him up with punches now. Bucia reverses position as Gracie looks to mount. Gracie locks up an omoplata, then drops for a leg lock. They’re 50/50. Gracie rolls for a kneebar. Bucia lands a couple of punches. 10-9 Gracie.

Round 2 – Gracie looking for an immediate takedown but can’t get it. It takes a minute before he can get Bucia down, but he gets right back up. Gracie drags him down from behind and immediately takes the back and sinks hooks. He didn’t get an arm under the chin, but he just squeezed and got the tap with a crank.

Heather Hardy vs. Kristina Williams

Round 1 – Wiliams won’t touch gloves. Williams with a kick. Hardy with a nice fading combo. Williams fires right back. They trade hard leg kicks. Hardy eats two big shots as she wades in. Hardy with a hard right as Williams throws a kick. Williams bringing good pressure. Inside leg kick from Willaims as Hardy lands a right. Good body/head combo from Hardy. Stiff jab from Hardy. They brawl in the middle. Hard body kick from Williams. Hardy brawls her way inside. Williams lands a glancing head kick on the break. Williams using a front kick effective. Hardy rips the body. Hardy with a right. Williams with a head kick. Side kick too. Jab from Hardy. Hardy’s nose is bleeding. Williams with a right. 10-9 Hardy.

Round 2 – Williams with a spinning back kick to the midsection. Hardy splits on a kick from Williams doesn’t take advantage. Head kick from Williams. Another body kick. Hardy with a right to teh body. Williams with a hard right and a Shawn Michaels superkick that lands. Massive head kick on a leaning Hardy! Hardy’s face just blew up! So much blood. They fight on for a little while longer but Hardy’s nose was destroyed. The ref stepped in and stopped the fight. That was awesome.

Ryan Quinn vs. Marcus Surin

Round 1 – Quinn wades in and lands a punch. Surin spins him around and puts him against the cage. They separate rather quickly. Nice jab from Surin. Quinn clinches up against the cage and lands a couple of uppercuts. He looks for a takedown. He gets it. Surin tries to reverse but Quinn rolls through. Surin back up but Quinn is still holding onto him. Surin tries to hit a trip but has his back taken. He secures a body triangle and looks for a choke. After an extended period of danger, Surin spins around and gets up. He lands a knee and a punch in the clinch. He lands a nice head-and-arm throw, but Quinn is only down for a couple of seconds. 10-9 Quinn.

Round 2 – They clinch up briefly. Quinn lands a leg kick on the break. He misses with a couple of bolo punches but lands a right. He backs Surin against the fence and looks for another takedown. He gets it again. Surin gives up his back trying to get up and Quinn takes afvantage. Full back control from the bottom and he’s looking for a choke again. Surin jerked his way out but Quin stays on him. Surin stands, but he gets double legged right back to his butt. Surin back up again. Quinn gets him down and takes the back briefly. Surin up, then slammed to the mat. And so on. 10-9 Quinn.

Round 3 – Surin gets a front headlock but can’t do anything with it. Leg kick from Quinn. Body shot from Surin. They clinch up and Surin manages to get Quinn to the ground and work from top position. He stepped out and passed to side. Quinn squirms away but Surin takes his back with a body lock. He couldn’t get hooks and Quinn reversed with an anaconda choke attempt. Quinn gives it up and they scramble. Surin takes the top in side control. Quinn regains full guard with a minute to go. Surin’s up and he’s looking for a guillotine. Quinn pops out and ends up on top. Good scrambles. 10-9 and 30-27 Quinn.

Ryan Quinn defeated Marcus Surin by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Ana Julaton vs. Lisa Blaine

Round 1 – They trade leg kicks. All they’re doing is kicking for the first two minutes. This is kind of weird. They finally clinch up half way through the round. They reverse position against the cage a few times and land a couple of knees. Blaine gets a takedown with 75 seconds to go and falls into side control. Julation got up with 50 seconds to go. Blaine with a standing guillotine. Julaton isn’t in danger. 10-9 Blaine.

Round 2 – Julaton caught a kick and looked for a single, but got stuck in a guillotine again. She popped out and they traded positions against the cage. They are just killing time there. This is not a good fight. The ref finally broke them with 2:45 to go. Couple of kicks from Julaton. Spinning kick. Nice high kick now. Blaine not throwing much of anything at range now, escept the odd inside leg kick. Julaton ties her up against the fence. Blaine got a takedown, but Julaton quickly reversed. Julaton just holding her down. 10-9 Julaton.

Round 3 – Julaton with an outside leg kick. Blaine kicks back low. Blaine gets a takedown and works from half. She’s trying to land the odd punch and elbow. Julaton fires back with some punches from the bottom. Blaine with more pressure. Julaton is doing nothing to escape. Julaton throws a slew up illegal upkicks with Blaine still on her knees but the ref just warned her because they looked more like pushes. Blaine lets her up with 30 seconds to go. They trade some punches in the clinch. Some knees from Julaton. 10-9 and 29-28 Blaine.

Lisa Blaine defeated Ana Julaton by split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28)
