Bloody Elbow is the place to be tonight for live results and full play-by-play of Bellator 201 from Temecula, California.

Join us tonight on Bloody Elbow for live results and detailed play-by-play as Bellator 201 comes to the Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, California.

The top of the billing will see Ilima Macfarlane in her first flyweight title defense as she takes on Alejandra Lara. In the co-main event slot, Ryan Couture will be squaring off with Bellator veteran Saad Awad. Main Card:

Ilima-Lei Macfarlane vs. Alejandra Lara: (W) Flyweight Title

Rd.1-

Macfarlane instantly shoots in but Lara shucks it off. Macfarlane attempts a takedown, but ends up on bottom. Lara is stuck in the rubber guard. Macfarlane rolls for an armbar and transitions to a triangle. Lara drops her weight into her forearm, right on the throat of Macfarlane and works out of harms way. Lara scrambles to the back and then to side control. Macfarlane makes her way back to her feet and lands a punch as time runs out.

Rd.2-

Lara closes the distance and presses Macfarlane against the fence. Macfarlane reverses the position and stuffs Lara against the cage. Lara reverses and gets called out by the referee for holding the fence. Macfarlane hits a takedown right into side control, and then transitions into full mount. Lara gains the half guard but Macfarlane drops several elbows from the top. Lara gives up her back and eats a couple of punches as the round ends.

Rd.3-

A stiff jab scores for Lara followed by an inside leg kick. Another jab lands for Lara. An ill-timed spinning backfist results in a Macfarlane takedown. Lara exposes her back again and Macfarlane unloads some more punches. Macfarlane seamlessly allows Lara to roll underneath her and takes the full mount. A couple of elbows drop for Macfarlane followed by an armbar attempt. Lara defends well, but Macfarlane methodically makes adjustments and gets the tap!

Ryan Couture vs. Saad Awad: 160 pounds

Rd.1-

Couture looks for the early takedown but bails on it. Couture grabs ahold of the clinch but Awad lands a lot of punches. Awad lands a head kick. Couture misses with a front kick. A left hook lands for Couture and he closes the distance. Awad reverses the position presses Couture against the fence. Awad breaks free into open space. A head kick from Awad skims the forehead of Couture. A jump knee misses for Couture. A big right hand lands for Awad followed by a head kick. Couture presses his foe against the cage, but Awad escapes and lands about four punches in a row. Couture throws a kick but gets rocked by an Awad right hand. Awad swarms his opponent, landing all sorts of punches, and the referee mercifully steps in and stops the fight.

Valerie Letourneau vs. Kristina Williams: (W) Flyweight

Rd.1-

The flyweights meet in the middle and begin exchanging right away. Letourneau begins pressing forward and lands a crisp right cross to the face of Williams. An overhand right from Williams knocks down Letourneau, but she may have just been off balance. Letourneau returns to her feet and lands another crisp cross that dropped Williams for real. Letourneau starts dropping punches from the guard. Williams rolls for an armbar but Letourneau defends well and falls into the closed guard. The referee stands up the fighters. Williams lands a flurry before the round ends.

10-9 Letourneau

Rd.2-

Again the athletes meet in the middle and exchange kicks. Letourneau finds a home for her right hand as Williams throws a combo. Letourneau steps into the pocket to throw a combo and her right hand connects again. Williams catches Letourneau with a three piece as when she steps in. Williams throws an elbow on the inside. A body kick lands for Letourneau but a hook lands for Williams. A leg kick lands for Letourneau but a head kick scores for Williams. Williams pumps her jab and finishes with a head kick as the round ends.

Rd.3-

Williams comes out aggressive, making it a dog fight and Letourneau is happy to brawl back. Letourneau changes levels and plants Williams on her back. A couple of chipping shots land for Letourneau. The referee stands them up due to a lack of action. Williams throws a flurry of straights, but Letourneau changes levels again and takes the fight to the ground. Letourneau attacks a guillotine and then transitions to a triangle as time runs out.

Juan Archuleta vs. Robbie Peralta: Featherweight

Rd.1-

Peralta takes the center of the cage but Archuleta closes the distance and presses Peralta up against the cage. A couple of chipping knees score for Archuleta. A flying knee rocks Peralta, but he recovers and returns to open space. Archuleta barely misses with an overhand right and then with a head kick. Archuleta closes the distance again to press Peralta up against the cage. Peralta lands an uppercut on the break and then retakes the center. Peralta rushes in with only seconds left but Archuleta throws a flying knee as time expires. 10-9 Archuleta

Rd.2-

Archuleta blasts a takedown and puts Peralta on his back against the fence. Peralta works his way back to his feet but his back is trapped against the fence. Archuleta continues to lean on Peralta in search of the takedown but Peralta defends well. With double underhooks, Archuleta continues to control Peralta who has only been defensive up until this point. Archuleta backs away into open space and begins to flurry on Peralta before closing the distance again against the fence. Archuleta scores a takedown with ten seconds left in the round. 10-9 Archuleta

Rd.3-

Archuleta cracks off with a mean right hand that drops Peralta. Archuleta unloads a plethora of hammerfists and the referee steps in to rescue Peralta. Well then!
