See who made and missed on the scales for Bellator 243!
Bellator MMA is back for the second time in the COVID-19 era. The promotion’s second offering, from its psuedo-bubble at the Mohegan Sun Casino and Resort in Uncasville, CT, pits former UFC and Bellator lightweight champions together for the second time.
Bellator 243’s main event is Michael Chandler vs. Benson Henderson. These two first faced off at Bellator 165 in 2016, for Chandler’s Bellator lightweight title. Chandler won that night, via split decision.
Since then Chandler dropped the belt to Brett Primus, reclaimed the belt from Primus and then lost the title to Patricio Freire. Since he lost to Chandler, ‘Smooth’ has gone 4-1, his only loss coming to Patricky Freire.
The co-main event is a heavyweight bout between Matt Mitrione and Timothy Johnson. Further down the card are notable names like Myles Jury, AJ Agazarm, Adam Borics and Valeria Loureda.
