Fighters hit the scales at the First Council Casino in Newkirk, Oklahoma Friday evening for the latest Bellator Fighting Championship event.
Bellator 40 goes down Saturday night at the same venue with the live MTV2 broadcast kicking off at 9PM EST (6PM PST).
The main event features a non-title “Super Fight” between Bellator welterweight champ Ben Askren (170.6), who puts his 7-0 record on the line against Nick Thompson (170.8) who makes his Bellator debut. Also featured on the live MTV2 broadcast are season-four tournament bouts between welterweight semifinalists Jay Hieron (170.5) vs. Brent Weedman (170.2), and lightweight semifinalists Lloyd Woodard (155) and Michael Chandler (155).
