Bellator MMA is bringing fight fans a second mixed martial arts (MMA) tournament later this year when Scott Coker and Co. ask the promotion’s top welterweights to throw down on Sept. 29, 2018 inside SAP Center in San Jose, California, presumably for the right to challenge Rory MacDonald for the 170-pound strap.

“Red King” will also be in action at the yet-to-be numbered event, when he moves up to challenge Gegard Mousasi for the Bellator MMA middleweight title, which “The Dreamcatcher” won by turning away Rafael Carvalho back in May.

Participating in the eight-man welterweight grand prix, according to L.A. Times, will be Paul Daley, Michael Page, Douglas Lima, and Andrey Koreshkov. Brackets and match ups are forthcoming, as is the complete list of participants.

Also getting their hands dirty on Sept. 29 are longtime rivals and UFC imports Wanderlei Silva and Quinton Jackson, who collide for a fourth time in heavyweight action. Expect more fight card announcements in the coming days, if not weeks.
