Bellator 225: “Mitrione vs. Kharitonov 2” comes to Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, Conn. on Sat., Aug. 24, 2019. Two behemoths collide in a heavyweight main event for a rematch as Matt Mitrione (13-6, 1 NC) takes on Sergei Kharitonov (28-6, 2 NC).
Apparently that’s not the only “big deal” that’s going to make news for Bellator MMA this week. A cryptic e-mail has been making the rounds titled “Bellator MMA to Announce International Athlete Signing“ with very little to go on other than some hairy arms in the enclosed photos.
Turns out the man of the hour is former England and British Lions rugby union star James Haskell. The 34-year-old bruiser is expected to make his cage fighting debut at some point in 2020.
An opponent has yet to be revealed.
