BE’s Baddest Greatest Light Heavyweight: #1 Jon Jones vs. #2 Tito Ortiz

Vote now in the Bloody Elbow Baddest Tournament to determine the Greatest MMA Light Heavyweight of All Time. Today’s match-up: #1 Jon Jones vs. #2 Tito Ortiz. Vote now!

This has been a relatively straight-forward tournament so far, but that straight path has ended, as our first #1 seed has been eliminated. And somewhat shockingly, it’s the current UFC champion. #1 seed Daniel Cormier was favored by some to win it all once Jon Jones’s drug test issues came up – instead, Cormier won’t even see the semi-finals. #3 Wanderlei Silva took him out by a healthy margin, 48-27. He moves on to meet his UFC rival, Chuck Liddell.

Today, Cormier’s white whale hits the Octagon. Overall tournament #1 seed Jon Jones has not had an easy path so far with a pair of tight wins. Now, he takes on #2 seed Tito Ortiz, with our third semi-final spot on the line. Will the Huntington Beach Bad Boy be the man to take down Bones, or will the former champion pull through with the win once again?
