Michael Bisping is about to conquer the writing game, as the former UFC middleweight champion expects to release his first autobiography this July in what he calls “a very honest take of my journey.”
The fighter-turned-analyst is widely regarded as one of the best 185-pound fighters in UFC history. Bisping, 40, compiled a 20-9 record while with UFC from 2006-2017 with key victories over Anderson Silva, Luke Rockhold, Dan Henderson, Cung Le, Brian Stann, and Yoshihiro Akiyama. He captured his only UFC title with a knockout victory over Rockhold back in 2016 in one of the biggest upsets of the past five years.
Bisping is now inking his storied career to paper and is set to release his first autobiography this July entitled “Quitters Never Win: My Life in UFC.” The British fighter recently posted to his Instagram account to announce his book’s release date and detail his journey in writing it.
“For the last 6 months or so I’ve been working day and night on my life story. I’m proud to announce that it’s in the final stages and we have a release date in July. Its a very honest take of my journey. I hope you enjoy it,” wrote Bisping.”
Bisping, who retired from MMA last year following back-to-back losses to Georges St-Pierre and Kelvin Gastelum in late 2017, was informed back in March that he’ll be inducted into the UFC’s 2019 Hall of Fame class this July. It’s only fitting considering “The Count” has been the quintessential company man since his UFC debut 13 years ago when he won the third season of The Ultimate Fighter.
We’ll see if Bisping is as good of a writer as he was a fighter.
