Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) handed out its traditional post-fight bonuses last night (Weds., July 15, 2020) for those combatants who turned in exceptional performances at the UFC on ESPN 13 mixed martial arts (MMA) event on “Fight Island” (Yas Island) in Abu Dhabi.
Abdul Razak Alhassan and Mounir Lazzez picked up “Fight of the Night” for their torrid three-round war — which ended in favor of Lazzez — but Alhassan won’t be taking home a $50,000 bonus check because he failed to make the welterweight limit.
Elsewhere on the card, Lerone Murphy scored a “Performance of the Night” bonus for his first-round destruction of Ricardo Ramos (highlights), as did Khamzat Chimaevsho, who submitted John Phillips in the second stanza of their “Prelims” affair (see it). In addition, Modestas Bukauskas flattened Andreas Michailidis to earn himself an extra $50,000 (video).
