Too bad “Borz” will probably be hungry again in an hour.

Khamzat Chimaev will treat Li Jingliang the way Lardass treated blueberry pie.

That’s according to comments “Borz” made on Episode 2 of UFC 267 “Embedded,” the pre-fight video blog designed to help MMA fans get hyped for the “Blachowicz vs. Teixeira” non-PPV event on Sat. (Oct. 30) on Fight Island in Abu Dhabi.

Chimaev battles Jingliang on the ESPN+ main card, which kicks off at 2 p.m. ET.

“I’m gonna go and do my thing like I’ve always done,” Chimaev said. “I have to finish this guy and take the next. The cage is my home, I like to be inside. I like to see my opponent, to see his face, to beat his face, eat him. You know like, I am so hungry. Everything I like that.”

Somewhere in Great Britain, Lennox Lewis is hiding his children.

Chimaev (9-0) burst onto the scene last July and quickly racked up three straight wins with all three bouts ending by way of knockout or submission. That was enough for promotion president Dana White to anoint “Borz” the uncrowned champion; however, COVID-19 had other ideas.

As for Jingliang (18-6), he scored what is arguably the biggest win of his mixed martial arts (MMA) career by planishing Santiago Ponzinibbio at UFC on ABC last January. The 33 year-old “Leech” has now won eight of his last 10 and sits at No. 11 in the promotion’s official welterweight rankings.

UFC 267 will headlined by the light heavyweight title fight between champion Jan Blachowicz and challenger Glover Teixeira. Elsewhere on the card, Cory Sandhagen and Petr Yan collide for the interim bantamweight championship.
