Bradd Pickett
A pair of bantamweight fighters are set to do battle this April when Brad ‘One Punch’ Pickett (22-7) steps into the Octagon against Mike ‘The Beast’ Easton (13-2), with the two meeting at UFC on FUEL TV 9.
Officials with the British office of the UFC announced the match on Twitter this morning (@UFC_UK).
– UK bantamweight Brad @One_Punch Pickett is set to take on powerful @MikeEastonMMA at #UFCStockholm2013 on 6th April!
Both fighters will enter the bout on a loss but it’s likely that this fight will end up on the Fuel TV main card telecast.
UFC on Fuel TV: Gustafsson vs. Mousasi (aka UFC on FUEL TV 9 or UFC Sweden 2) is expected to take place on April 6, 2013 at the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden. The event is headlined by a light heavyweight bout between Alexander Gustafsson and Gegard Mousasi.
Pickett lost a close split decision to Eddie Wineland on December 29 in Las Vegas as the two fought in the final prelim broadcast of UFC 155. The bout ended a two fight win streak for ‘One Punch’ who earned stoppages over Yves Jabouin at UFC on FUEL TV 5 and over Damacio Page at UFC Sweden 1.
Easton saw his eight fight win streak come to a halt after a decision loss to Raphael Assuncao in early December in Seattle after dropping a unanimous decision to replacement fighter Assuncao. ‘The Hulk’ had won three straight in the Octagon defeating Ivan Menjivar, Jared Papazian and Byron Bloodworth.
