Veteran middleweight contender David Branch will look to get back in the win column against Jack Hermansson at UFC Philadelphia.

The UFC’s long-awaited return to Philadelphia will include a middleweight fight between David Branch and Jack Hermansson.

PhillyVoice’s Matt Mullin reported the news on February 6th.

Branch (22-5) is coming off an upset loss to Jared Cannonier at UFC 230. The former WSOF two-division champion is 2-2 since he returned to the UFC in May 2017. He beat Krzysztof Jotko by split decision at UFC 211, lost to Luke Rockhold later that September, and last April he knocked out Thiago Santos before the TKO defeat to Cannonier.

Hermansson (18-4) is riding a two-fight winning streak, most recently choking out Gerald Meerschaert at UFC on FOX 31 last December. The Swede, who fights out of Norway, holds a UFC record of 5-2, including a comeback TKO finish of former middleweight title challenger Thales Leites at UFC 224. His last loss was by TKO to Thiago Santos in October 2017.

UFC Philadelphia airs live on ESPN television on March 30th, with a main event between lightweight contenders Justin Gaethje and Edson Barboza.
