(UFC bantamweight Dominick Cruz | Scott Hirano Low Kick)
Well, that sucks. Dana White has tweeted that Dominick Cruz is out of his UFC 148 title defense against TUF 15 opposing coach and arch nemesis Urijah Faber because of a torn ACL. “It’s true Cruz blew his ACL. Stay tuned for more info” White tweeted just a few minutes ago.
The bout was set to be a rubber match between Faber and Cruz. Faber choked Cruz out in 2007 when they were both featherweights back at WEC 26. Last summer, the bantamweight champ Cruz beat Faber via decision in a wild brawl at UFC 132. The two are coaching opposite one another on this season’s TUF Live. As if the ratings weren’t poor enough already.
