A pair of UFC heavyweight, Brendan ‘The Hybrid’ Schaub (8-3) and Lavar ‘Big’ Johnson (17-6), have had their recently scrapped bout for this past weekends UFC on FOX 5 event rescheduled for this February’s upcoming UFC 157: Rousey vs. Carmouche show.

According to MMAWeekly.com, both fighters have verbally agreed to the new date with no bout agreements in place at this time.

UFC 157: Rousey vs. Carmouche is expected to take place on February 23, 2013 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. The event will feature the first UFC women’s bout as champ Ronda Rousey defends her title against Liz Carmouche.

Schaub and Johnson had been scheduled for last weekends event in Seattle but a groin injury to ‘Big’ forced the former Strikeforce heavyweight off the card the week before. Officials with the promotion opted to simply pull Schaub from the event rather than find a new opponent.

Schaub has lost his last two, both by knockout, losing to Ben Rothwell at UFC 145 and to Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira at UFC 134. The losses ended a four fight win streak which saw ‘Hybrid’ defeat Chase Gormley, Chris Tuchscherer, Gabriel Gonzaga, and Mirko Filipovic.

Johnson also enters the fight on a loss, having been submitted by Stefan Struve last May at UFC 146. Johnson suffered an arm injury and was out for the summer. Previous to that, ‘Big’ had won two straight with a TKO finish of Pat Barry at UFC on FOX 3 and a knockout of Joey Beltran at UFC on FOX 2
