“Butterbean” fans rejoice, as the fighter, whose real name is Erich Esch (16-8-1), is set to jump back into action on May 7 in Canada when he meets local fighter Dean Storey (16-8-1) in the main event of Elite1: High Voltage.
The event takes place at the Casino New Brunswick in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada and both men will meet for the Elite-One MMA Super Heavyweight Title!
“Butterbean” is 4-2 in his last six bouts, earning a second round submission (exhaustion – really didn’t know that could be a submission) victory over Deon West at a local LFC 43: Wild Thang event. Previous to that, Esch met World Strongman turned mixed martial artist Mariusz Pudzianowski at a Polish KSW XIV event, losing in the first round by submission (strikes).
Not much available on Storey, just what the Elite1mma.com website has on him other than his record, 16-8-1, and his weight 280 lbs. I’m sure there is something that could be said about his photo though…
