Former interim UFC welterweight champion Carlos Condit will return at UFC 202, taking on Demian Maia.
Condit (30-9) is coming off a split decision loss to Robbie Lawler this past January for the welterweight title. He is 2-4 over his last six, with three of the four defeats being decision setbacks. The other was a TKO loss to current title contender Tyron Woodly after “The Natural Born Killer” suffered a knee injury.
Maia (23-6) has won five in a row, including a May submission win over Matt Brown. He previously competed for the UFC middleweight title before moving to welterweight.
UFC 202 takes place August 20 from Las Vegas and features Nate Diaz vs. Conor McGregor.
