Warrior One MMA – Reloaded

Warrior One MMA delivered another night of exciting fights with Reloaded as the rising promotion showcased internationally recognized stars mixed with up and coming local prospects all on an amazing 12-bout card, with 6 ending in either knockout or submission. The event was held at the BankUnited Center on the campus of the University of Miami, and Reloaded had all the action any MMA fan could want and for those fans that are into blood and guts, they got that too.

In the main event, and a battle of UFC veterans, it was TUF Alum Chuck O’Neil (9-4) defeating former UFC veteran Marcus Davis (20-9) in a 170 lb scrap after a high octane three rounds. It was a great exhibition of standup fighting as both men used the sweet science to pick apart their opponent. It was a close fight going into the final round where things turned for O’Neil in a big way. O’Neil landed a perfect elbow that left a big gash on Davis’ head. Blood was flowing almost immediately after that and would do so until the final bell. The elbow and ensuing cut is probably what won O’Neil a split decision as the fight was razor close before the exchange. A great win for O’Neil, it will be interesting to see what his future holds. For Davis, it was an unlucky break, for the courageous and grizzled veteran.

In the co-main event, hometown hero Luis Palomino (17-7) defeated James Edson Berto (16-9-1) via unanimous decision. Palomino was the aggressor throughout the three round fight and always seemed to land his strikes before Berto could get his punches and kicks off. Palomino also controlled the ground game stifling any attacks by Berto in the process. It was an impressive victory for Palomino who has been a mainstay on the South Florida MMA scene for some time. Hopefully the Bellator veteran gets another opportunity to showcase his skills on the national level.

Don’t miss this thrilling mixed martial arts card as some of the best fighters in the world brought down the house on the campus of The U! Reloaded proved why MMA is the fastest rising sport in the world. There are talented fighters everywhere and Warrior One is a breeding ground for the champions of tomorrow. Clash at the Kilt II

Cut Throat MMA returned to action with Clash at the Kilt 2 from Elgin, Illinois. The 10-bout event was a hybrid card that featured both MMA and Muay Thai fighting. This was a great card and highlighted the deep talent pool in both MMA and Muay Thai in the Midwest scene as Cut Throat brought a great evening of fights on GFL.tv.

In the main event, David Booth (4-0-1) and Sam Ferguson (2-0-1) ended in a draw for the Cut Throat MMA Middleweight Championship. Ferguson, out of the Carlson Gracie camp, had a point deducted earlier in the fight, which hurt his chances at winning. The former Light Heavyweight Champion, Booth out wrestled Ferguson in the first and third round and the fight probably deserved to be called a draw. Cut Throat executives promised there would be a rematch and next time it would be scheduled for 5 rounds. Both fighters are still undefeated and if their second fight is as exciting as their first, then MMA fans are in for a treat.

In another featured attraction, Danny MacDonald knocked out Marcus Hall in a Muay Thai match using a viscous kick, right hand combo. It was a back and forth fight, with many observers calling it an upset, but MacDonald proved he belonged in the cage.

The only way to watch this thrilling 10-bout card is to order it exclusively through the GFL Combat Sports Network at GFL.tv. Be sure to catch all of the action as Cut Throat MMA presents Clash at the Kilt 2 on GFLVOD.
