Donald Cerrone is hoping for another fight against Tony Ferguson, while also claiming that Conor McGregor turned him down multiple times.

Many expected fireworks for the UFC 238 fight between Tony Ferguson and Donald Cerrone in early June. While it did live up to the hype, in ended a bit anti-climactically when “Cowboy” had his right eye swollen shut and doctors deemed him unfit to continue at the end of the second round.

Cerrone is known as a game fighter, and unsurprisingly, he is already looking to run it back with “El Cucuy.”

“Tony Ferguson rematch, I’m begging for it,” Cerrone told MMA Junkie Radio. “August, hopefully no later than September. I can’t fight any later than September, because now I’m running into not being able to get two more at the end of the year.”

Prior to the Ferguson match-up, there were talks about a fight between Cerrone and Conor McGregor. But these plans were scrapped after “The Notorious” supposedly didn’t agree unless it was a headliner.

Cerrone is left wondering why the fight never took place, while also claiming that McGregor turned down multiple fight offers.

“The funny thing is, when Diaz fought McGregor (at UFC 202), I just fought, and I was flying on that Sunday, and they called me and were like, ‘Hey, do you want the McGregor fight?’ So he turned me down back then, turned me down three or four other times now. It’s crazy to me,” he said.

“His last fight, we were supposed to do it, and it just deteriorated. I don’t know, he just won’t sign his end of the deal.”

McGregor, who “retired” from competition in March, had previously declared his intent to make a comeback. However, no definite plans have been made final just yet.
