Chael Sonnen was a special guest on this week’s edition of UFC Tonight on Fuel TV, joining hosts Todd Harris and Kenny Florian to discuss his recent comments about Jon Jones, also weighing in on Jones’ upcoming title defense against Dan Henderson at UFC 151.

Chris Weidman also dropped in to plead his case for a title shot against Anderson Silva.

Press Release – LOS ANGELES, CA – On this week’s “UFC Tonight,” Host Todd Harris and Analyst Kenny Florian interview Chael Sonnen on his beef with Jon Jones and discuss the upcoming Anthony Pettis vs. Donald Cerrone fight. Meanwhile, Chris Weidman calls out Anderson Silva. And, UFC nutritionist Mike Dolce joins the guy in-studio to talk about his famous “Dolce Diet.”

Quote of the Week: Chael Sonnen on fighting Jones: “Look I will never fight Jones. He will never fight me. He is surrounded by a bunch of yes men. Is Chael better than me, they say yes. Will Chael beat me, they say yes. Will Chael take my title, they say yes. I don’t need to beat up Jon Jones, I just want to.”

Sonnen on his twitter beef with Jon Jones: “Well you know I am not a cheater, I am a gangster and we follow our own set of rules and it’s up to other gangers to attempt to stop me…duh.”

Sonnen on whether he has taken away Jones focus: “I didn’t understand the whole thing. He has to focus to beat Dan Henderson, which he won’t do. I don’t think he should be focusing on me he should be focusing on Dan Henderson’s right hand. He says that I provided him with motivation, but jones isn’t that your coaches job? I mean do you want me to give you the number to the bat phone and you can just call me and pay me 10 percent for my rhetorical skills? The only thing we need to know about Jones, is which hospital we need to send the flowers too.”

Anthony Pettis on his upcoming fight against Donald Cerrone: “Oh it is happening. He is talking too much mess for it not to happen. I should be ready by early November or late November. Either way by November be ready. I am coming for that title shot. You’re the only guy standing in my way and I’m coming for it.”

“UFC Tonight” Analyst Kenny Florian on Pettis vs. Cerrone: “Cerrone has really found his home in the UFC. We haven’t seen Pettis in a while, but he is a great athlete, a tremendous fighter. Pettis is a very flashy, very athletic fighter. Cerrone has great kicks. Pettis is coming back from an injury, but it is going to be interesting to see. I expect a knockout in that fight. I don’t know who, but I know it’s going to happen.”

Chris Weidman on fighting Anderson Silva: “From what I am being told, it is a fight that the UFC would want to make happen. Now, it is just confusing. I don’t know what is going on. I am waiting to find out from Dana White. I didn’t take a couple of fights from people challenging me, like Belfort, so I could take the Silva fight. But, now it is all up in the air. I don’t know what is going on. I don’t have any deadlines, but I am young and I want to make the most of my career. I have a lot of respect for the guy, I think he is the greatest of all time and I look up to him. I think I am the biggest challenge to him and I think his camp knows that and I think he should challenge me.”

Weidman on what he wants to say to Silva: “Hey man, just give me a chance. Obviously I think I am going to beat you and it is a tough one for me to tell you to do. You had one fight when you got the chance, so just give me my opportunity, just give me the fight.”

Florian on Silva taking the fight against Weidman: “There are two things here. Silva’s team doesn’t think it is a good fight because they don’t think Weidman is a big enough name. But the truth is that Chris is the best 185 fighter out there and if Silva wants to fight at 185 then he should fight him. Silva does have some leverage because he has done this before. If he doesn’t have another fight against GSP or something, then he should take this fight.”

UFC Nutritionist Mike Dolce explains the Dolce Diet: “It is an approach to living based on earth grown nutrients. I’m not a supplement type of diet, per say, I focus on things from the earth so that we can live a long healthy live. The dolce diet is a longevity based diet it just happens to work for the most elite athletes in the world. But, it works for us normal people also. It is a longevity based meal plan.”

Dolce on why your diet is important: “Diet is everything regardless of your job. You might be a professional athlete taking punches in the octagon or an accountant. There is nothing more important because it directly affects your health.”

Dolce on whom he is currently working with: “Chael Sonnen, Thiago Alves, Jay Hieron, Jake Ellenberger, and Nik Lentz. Tons of guys, I apologize if I don’t name many right now, but I have a really good list.”

Dolce on why he thinks his former client Rampage didn’t make weight in his last fight: “No, I don’t know what happened. Really, just what I read. The only interaction I had was just support. Things go bad sometimes. I don’t know what happens, he is a good guy. I don’t think im working with him for the next fight. I’m book through December right now.”

Dolce on whether fighters ignore his opinion and what he thinks of the Rhonda Rousey diet: “Well no athlete ignores what I say and some of the best athletes in the world call me up. And they keep me there because they know that their diet affects their work and their outcome. I don’t know Rhonda’s diet and I don’t know her statements, but just eating one meal a day and drinking coffee all night sounds like a hybrid diet. But, I don’t really know.”

Florian on UFC on FOX 5: “That is a sick card. Once in a while you’ll get names on a free card like this. Once in awhile you get amazing styles clashing. But here you are getting both. I cannot wait for that card.”

Florian on his favorite fight on the FOX 5 card: “Every fight is amazing, but I love watching the Diaz brother’s fight. Ben Henderson always comes to fight. I can’t wait to watch that. That is a title fight I can’t wait to watch that.”
