In a shocking turn of events that not even “Mystic Mac” could have predicted, mixed martial arts (MMA) super fan Ahmed Abdirzak refused to cooperate with prosecutors and has since recanted his cell-phone smashing story after settling a civil suit against former UFC lightweight champion, Conor McGregor.

As a result, all criminal charges have been dropped.

That means “Notorious,” much like Darren “Taxi” Till, has been able to buy his way out of trouble following his arrest last month in Miami. The original charges were felony strong-armed robbery and misdemeanor criminal mischief after the hot-headed Irishman was accused of grabbing Abdirzak’s phone and smashing it to pieces.

With that messy business behind him, McGregor can once again focus on his growing whiskey business, as well as his combat sports career, which is expected to resume at some point later this year against an opponent to be named.

Stay tuned.
