Khamzat Chimaev says his goal is simple: smash somebody, take money.

Khazmat Chimaev has been the talk of the MMA world as of late, with the undefeated prospect quickly bursting into the scene and scoring two UFC stoppage wins in about 10 days. The 8-0 prospect asked for another quick return, and Dana White promised to quickly book him again in what could be his third UFC bout in a month.

Chimaev recently spoke to Chael Sonnen, with the UFC veteran turned analyst speculating and asking him about a possible bout against Donald Cerrone.

“I don’t know (if I have an opponent yet). I train everyday,” Chimaev said. “No, nothing (about Cerrone).”

“I would be happy if they give me him. He has a good name, but for me it’s an easy fight, easy win. I think first or second round, I would finish him.”

While it doesn’t seem like the bout has been offered, in the brief interview, Chimaev made it clear that his plan is pretty simple and straightforward.

“I love to fight,” he said. “Smash somebody, take money. I know I can smash everybody in the UFC.”

Also in the interview, the Sweden-based Chimaev also stated that he has trained with many Dagestanis, but has yet to work with the champion he mostly gets compared to in Khabib Nurmagomedov.
