The UFC 268 main event is another title rematch in Kamaru Usman vs Colby Covington. In their first meeting, Usman defended his welterweight belt by breaking Covington’s jaw and stopping him late. The technical acumen on the feet was already seen on the first fight, and it was also evident on this rematch.

Usman’s takedown defense was on point and his straight punches were crisp as well, even coming very close to finishing in the second round. Covington had his moments, but it wasn’t really enough to take rounds and claim the belt. It was yet another title defense for Usman, who is currently ranked top pound-for-pound.

Usman lands a right. Covington jumps in a couple of times but whiffs. Front kick from Usman. Counter body shot from Usman. Usman clips Colby with a right and Colby shoots. Usman defends with emphatic underhooks. Counter left hook drops Covington! He pops up and gets dropped again! Usman lands mad body shots but the round ends. 10-8 Usman.
