As noted, UFC Featherweight Champion Conor McGregor was fined $150,000, or roughly five percent of his UFC 202 fight purse by the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) as a result of his bottle-throwing incident with Nate Diaz at the pre-fight press conference in Las Vegas, Nevada last month.
“The Notorious” one took to social media shortly after the news surfaced online and commented on the hefty $150,000 fine he is paying to the NAC for his involvement in the wild incident.
“I got fined more than these bums get paid,” wrote McGregor, who returns to the Octagon in a champion vs. champion bout against Eddie Alvarez, with the UFC Lightweight Championship on the line, in the main event of UFC 205.
UFC 205: Alvarez vs. McGregor takes place on Saturday, November 12th at the world-famous Madison Square Garden arena in New York City. Join us here at MMANews.com on 11/12 for live coverage of the UFC 205 pay-per-view.
