Reigning UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor took solace in the fact he was still the owner of the 145-pound belt after he went into panic mode against Nate Diaz at UFC 196 one week ago.

“Notorious” was a good sport following his second-round submission loss to Diaz in the night’s main event, giving the Stockton slugger props in the Octagon and at the post-fight press conference.

Making out with a reported $10 million payday probably soothed his ego just a little bit as well, I would guess.

Having lost for the first time under the UFC banner, McGregor didn’t process the loss in his plush Mac Mansion. He celebrated as he always does, most likely with some Irish whiskey and loud tunes.

Check out his latest Instagram post below:

I don’t say hard luck, I say well done. It was a heck of a fight. A heck of a cheque. And a heck of a party afterwards. #YoungSuccess

When one party ends, another begins.

McGregor is now headed back down to the 145-pound division to test himself in a rematch against former foe Jose Aldo or Frankie Edgar.

Maybe “The Answer” finally gets his shot at the Irishman.
