Eddie shoulda wore his corona-ring.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will once again bench a fighter on short notice, as once-beaten featherweight bruiser Eduardo Garagorri has been scratched from this weekend’s UFC Vegas 11 fight card after one of his cornermen tested positive for coronavirus.

That’s according to a report from MMA Fighting.

His opponent, Mirsad Bektic, is still included in the lineup as of this writing, but if matchmakers are unable to secure a replacement within the next two days, the promotion is likely to reschedule the bout altogether for a later card.

Expect an official announcement sooner, rather than later.

After racking up a perfect record on the international circuit — which included 10 nasty finishes — the 31 year-old Garagorri (13-1) made his Octagon debut last summer, splitting a pair of fights against Humberto Bandenay (W) and Ricardo Ramos (L).
